December Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my December beauty favorites!! Y'all 2017 is officially laid to rest. It wasn't too bad of a year, but we'll see what 2018 has in store. I do plan on doing a Best of Beauty for 2017, but I did have some products I loved &  wanted to talk about separately from that  so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for December,  then just keep reading! HAIR CARE   Salon Care Root Comb Applicator Bottle : applying oil to my scalp just became so much easier and less messy!! SKIN CARE   Renewal by Rite Aid Moisturizing Lotion for Extra Dry Skin (couldn't find this particular one, but this is the lotion it's supposed to dupe ): Though I do love the Shea Moisture lotions, they are a bit too thick for my liking. So, I was on the hunt for a lotion that still was moisturizing but easy to rub into the skin. Enter in this guy!! This is supp...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

October Favorites

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! As you see by the title, this is all about my favorites for October!! Insane that the 2017 will be over soon and 2018 is right around the corner! Like , time, SLOW DOWN.  But, surprisingly, I don't have a ton of products this time, so it shouldn't take us too long to get through everything! So if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for October, then just keep reading! MAKEUP Hourglass  Veil  Mineral Primer [retails $19.00 travel size, $54.00 for 1 oz size, $75.00 for jumbo size] Every time I use this, my makeup lasts all day and I get ZERO oil breakthrough! This primer can be a little tricky: if you use too much, it can ball up and roll off the face. It can also make your face looks crepey and dry.  Honestly, I probably will stick to buying the travel size because this stuff is ESSPENSIVE. REAL ESSPENSIVE. Plus, a little goes a long way. Buxom Full on Lip P...

BS5: Fly Brushes under $5

Hey, all you beauties! Welcome back and if you're new around these parts, I welcome you! Today is going to be another installment in my Beauty Supply 5 series! If you've missed any of my previous posts in this series,  click right here to catch up!!  As you see by the title,  today  is all about affordable brushes! There's a ton of different options out now since the drugstore has been really giving the higher end brands a run for their money! I've noticed that sometimes , how your makeup comes out in the end depends on the kind of tools used to apply your product. Now, there's a lot of hyped up brands like MAC , IT Cosmetics and Sigma that offer nice brushes, but they do cost a pretty penny! So, I am relieved that I found some great affordable tools that work just as well (if not better), and many of them are under $5! So, if you guys are interested in some good brushes under $5, then keep on reading! Wet n Wild Brushes These are very soft and apply your p...

Setting sprays are extremely helpful for helping rehydrate the skin,  allowing your makeup to mesh together and last longer! There's a ton of different options out now since the drugstore has been really giving the higher end brands a run for their money! This category is not as large in my makeup collection because I kind of have my favorite ones. So, if you guys are interested in some good setting sprays, then keep on reading! Wet N Wild Photofocus Setting Spray [retails $4.99] Great setting spray, but the packaging is so small!! Like they could make it a little bit bigger. Femme Couture Get Locked Setting Spray [retails $6.49] This Sally's exclus...

SKIN CARE First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy [retails $12.00] This minty balm does a nice job at hydrating my lips before I apply my lippie of the day or if they're just feeling a little dry and cracked! I also use this sometimes at night to keep my lips from being all cracked when I wake up the next day. ELF Nourishing Night Cream [retails $12.00] When I use this after I wash my face at night, this has been helping my face not feel so greasy and oily the next morning! If you've missed any of my previous posts in this series,  click right here to catch up !!  As you see by the title, this one is all about bronzing and contouring products ! These two steps are definitely not required, but they do make a difference. Bronzer is used to warm up the skin, while contouring adds dimension to shape and slim the face. As a deeper melanin girl, it's even tougher to find products in these categories that a) show up on my skin and b) don't make me look ashy. But, I think that I got some good choices for you! So, if you guys are interested in some good bronzer/contour options, then keep on reading! Ulta Contour Kit [retails $18.00] This is a great palette for all skin tones!! But since I'm darker, I only get use out of the Golden and Goddess bronzers (I use the lighter bro...

Hello, beauty lovers!! Welcome back & if you're new, I welcome you!!   Today is gonna be another installment on my Dupe, Dud or Better series!! I really enjoy comparing different products to each other to help my other fellow beauty lovers to hopefully save some coins!! Especially since these brands are just popping out products back to back lately, so we don't really get to enjoy what's in our collection. So, today, we're comparing two powders to see if they're dupes or not : the Bairly Sheer Surestay Translucent powder and the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose setting powder. I've done a couple of these already, so you can click here to check out my thoughts!  If you guys are interested in my thoughts comparing these two powders, let's get rolling!! SIMILARITIES The claims : Both powders claim to be longwearing, control oil and work for all skin tones. The feel: they both feel very smooth and silky to the touch. The color: they both have a bone ...
