BS5: Bronzers/Contouring Products

Hey, all you beauties! Welcome back and if you're new around these parts, I welcome you! Today is going to be another installment in my Beauty Supply 5 series! If you've missed any of my previous posts in this series, click right here to catch up!! As you see by the title, this one is all about bronzing and contouring products ! These two steps are definitely not required, but they do make a difference. Bronzer is used to warm up the skin, while contouring adds dimension to shape and slim the face. As a deeper melanin girl, it's even tougher to find products in these categories that a) show up on my skin and b) don't make me look ashy. But, I think that I got some good choices for you! So, if you guys are interested in some good bronzer/contour options, then keep on reading!

  • Ulta Contour Kit [retails $18.00]
    • This is a great palette for all skin tones!! But since I'm darker, I only get use out of the Golden and Goddess bronzers (I use the lighter bronzers for eyeshadow, so nothing goes to waste). I really enjoy the formula of these powders---they're not too chalky or patchy!
  • Black Radiance True Complexion Contour Kit [retails $7.99, 2 shades]
    • This had instantly rose to holy grail status since I purchased it!! I hit major pan on the contour shade , and I just cannot get enough !! They have two kits available: one for lighter skin tones and one for darker skin tones. These do run a bit on the warm side, so if you prefer cooler tone contour items, you might  not want to go for these.
  • Covergirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer [retails $8.99, 3 shades]
    • The struggle was oh so real finding this, but I'm so glad that I finally got my hands on this (well, 3 of these lol). It gives a nice, subtle bronze glow to the skin that I love!
  • Kleancolor Bronzer [retails $2.99, 3 shades in both shimmer and matte finishes]
    • oh, the hidden gems you can find at the beauty supply store!! This is so, so amazing! It's fairly smooth and super easy to blend out. There's both a shimmer and a matte version and I love them equally!!
  • Black Radiance Pressed Powder [retails $4.99, 13 shades]
    • I seriously talk about these powders all the time, but they're such bomb multipurpose powders!! I use Rich Mahogany to bronze and contour my face, and I use Ebony to deepen it slightly.
Honorable Mentions
  • Elf Aqua Beauty Blush/Bronzer Duo---"Bronzed Violet"
    • I'm not super into cream bronzing and contouring, but this is making me change my mind! It's very buildable and blends nicely into the skin! Also, it has a slight minty smell that is refreshing!
  • Color Story by SE Matte About You Sculpting Palette---"Medium to Tan", "Deep to Dark"
    • I just raved about the Deep to Dark palette in my September favorites, and I still stand by my claims! The bronzer and contour shades are easy to blend and last a good bit on the skin! Sometimes, I will use a cream product underneath to intensify it , and that works like a charm!
  • Black Radiance Concealer Stick---"Dark"
    • This is the BEST cream contour stick I've tried!! Yes, it's a concealer stick, but it's a little too thick for my liking. But to cream bronze or contour??? A1, all the way on point!
  • Colourpop Pressed Powder Bronzer---"Bits and Pieces"
    • I'm still playing around with this, but so far so good!! it's a bit more pigmented than I was expecting, so I found that a large powder brush is perfect for applying this. But the formula and color are nice for my skin tone!
Well, we've reached the end !! Hopefully you've found some good products within this list to try out for yourselves! Thanks for reading, and like always, Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
