October Favorites

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! As you see by the title, this is all about my favorites for October!! Insane that the 2017 will be over soon and 2018 is right around the corner! Like , time, SLOW DOWN.  But, surprisingly, I don't have a ton of products this time, so it shouldn't take us too long to get through everything! So if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for October, then just keep reading!

MAKEUP
  • Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer [retails $19.00 travel size, $54.00 for 1 oz size, $75.00 for jumbo size]
    • Every time I use this, my makeup lasts all day and I get ZERO oil breakthrough! This primer can be a little tricky: if you use too much, it can ball up and roll off the face. It can also make your face looks crepey and dry.  Honestly, I probably will stick to buying the travel size because this stuff is ESSPENSIVE. REAL ESSPENSIVE. Plus, a little goes a long way.
  • Buxom Full on Lip Polish [retails $20.00]
    • I'm not too into high end glosses because the drugstore has some great options, but these are so unique!! They do have shimmer in them, but it isn't chunky. They also have a nice minty feeling & are not overly sticky! There's tons of colors to choose from too! (Some of my favorites include Madison---an everyday pink, and Jasmine----a hybrid of purple and magenta)
  • C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Tint in "Plum Mint"  [retails $7.50]
    • This is very similar to the Buxom glosses, except the minty feeling is a bit stronger, which I also like!!
  • AOA Studio brushes [retails $1.00 each]
    • These are some of the best brushes I've tried!! They're super soft, apply my product nicely and they're dirt cheap---only $1 per brush!! I've especially been loving the F12 (large powder) and the F19 (highlighter).
  • Anastastia Beverly Hills Lip Glosses [retails $16.00]
    • These are the most pigmented glosses I own!! Like I said, I'm not crazy into high end lip products because the drugstore does a great job at those, but there's no other glosses like these!! They smell like vanilla cupcakes and cover my whole lips easily!!
  • Palladio Herbal Matte Lipstick---"Royal Rum" [retails $7.49]
    • I feel so old school talking about a regular lipstick since the liquid lip trend is still going strong, but I absolutely love the Palladio lipsticks!! They're creamy, comfortable and pigmented! The color Rum Raisin was my absolute favorite, but it had expired and I had to end up throwing it out & I thought I would never find another color I loved like that one. Enter in Royal Rum!! It's more on the pink side (Rum Raisin was more brown), but I've been loving this lipstick for everyday wear!
  • NYX Slip Tease Full Color Lip Oil [retails $7.00]
    • These are like the little sister of the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips!! Only difference is that these are a bit thinner than CP, but they're just as comfortable , in my opinion. I only own two shades (Bang Bang---muted deep plum & Beyond Basic---medium nude), and have been reaching for them like crazy! I may get more in the future, but I highly recommend them!!
  • Pixel Triple Boost Matte Powder---"08 Honey" [retails $6.99]
    • I randomly found this brand at my local Kmart and wasn't really sure how to feel about it. Pixel is not a brand that's sold in a ton of places, so I didn't hear really anything about this. But this has really knocked my socks off!! It does a great job of mattifying the skin without making me feel super dry and cracked! This is giving my Covergirl Matte Powder a run for its money!!
  • Glowy blushes
    • I'm a blush fiend like nobody's business!!  Though I'm a sucker for a matte blush, lately I've been going ham with glowy blushes, especially when I'm in a rush. Now I do wear highlighter time to time, but sometimes I want something a little more subdued , and a nice glowy blush gives me just enough sheen and color combined!! Some of my current favorites include Bardot from Colourpop, Guava Glow from the Sephora Collection and Spice by Shea Moisture!!

HAIR CARE
  • Bumble & Bumble Bb Curl Anti-Humidity Gel Oil [retails $34.00]
    • This is phenomenal on my curls!! It clumps them together and defines them without them looking stiff and crunchy!! Plus, it provides moisture and shine , which is something my gels don't usually do!
  • Jane Carter Solution Restore Creamy Conditioning Cleanser [retails $15.00]
    • This cowash actually cleans my scalp very well when it's not quite dirty enough for a shampoo, and allows my curls to pop out even more!! Plus, I love the smell!!
  • Carol's Daughter Marula Curl Therapy Softening Hair Mask [retails $24.00]
    • Easily one of the best smelling masks I've used on my curls!! Plus it leaves my hair baby soft!
  • Curls Passion Fruit Curl Control Paste [retails $8.99]
    • I have a bit of a hate-hate relationship with Curls products, but this I absolutely love!! I apply this to the areas of my hair that are a bit too frizzy for my liking, and this tames them!! I also am interested in trying out the Blueberry Bliss version of this as well!!
  • Mielle Organics Mint Almond Oil [retails $13.99]
    • I've been reaching for this oil nonstop to massage it into my scalp (especially the slow growing front) , seal in moisture and take down my twists, and it's been working great!! Also the fact that Mielle Organics was created by an RN makes me smile just a tad more!!

MISCELLANEOUS
  • The PJs
    • This was one of the dopest shoes in the late 90s-early 2000s!!
  • Brown Sugar "Perfect Edges 05" Half Wig [retails $24.99]
    • I'm very new to the world of wigs, and so far I've been enjoying it!! I go for this one when I want a little more length , but not too much. The flatter hairline allows me to blend my baby hairs in nicely so it looks like my hair!
  • Beshe "YU-212" Half Wig [retails $19.99]
    • I wear this one the most!! This one is kinda similar to my regular twistout, except it's a little looser and about twice as big. Unlike my other one, I can leave a little of my real hair out to blend it in a little more if I  choose to. Sometimes I will, sometimes I won't, but I just love the versatility!
Well, to the end we have arrived!! Hopefully you've found some good products within this list to try out for yourselves! Let me know some of your  favorites or not so favorites from October! Thanks for reading, and like always, Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
