December Favorites

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! You guys, the year has officially closed. It's insane how 2018 just flew so fast! But I'm curious of what 2019 will entail . Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving this month (aside for my yearly favorites), so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for December, then just keep on reading!

MAKEUP
  • Wet n Wild The Saving Base fortifying base coat: I'm always testing out new base & top coats because I do enjoy painting my nails, but the biggest issue I have is that the polish chips so easily!! Since I've been using this, my nail polish chipping has gone down a noticeable difference! Aside from that, I've not had as much cracking and splitting of my real nails!
  • Physicians Formula #InstaReady Setting Spray: I finally was able to put my Loreal setting spray down for a little while once I started using this one. This also helps my makeup last all day long  without fading!
  • Sephora Collection Goji Lip Balm: I have no idea why people are sleeping on the Sephora Collection. I remember smelling this in store and fell in love and I had to buy it immediately. Since then, I've used this lip balm nonstop. The texture has gone down tremendously on my lips, especially in this cold weather!
  • Becca Velvet Blurring Primer:  a lot of people were not crazy about this primer, but surprise to me, I love it!! Each time I've worn makeup, I've picked up this primer and it has not done me wrong!!
  • NYX Machinist Highlighting Duo---"Grind": I picked this up when this collection dropped in ULTA early on, but it took me a while to use it because i have so many other products I wan to to use too. But once I started using it, I fell totally in love!! A silky golden highlighter and a deep bronze orange blush topper??? YES PLEASE!! Low key, I do wish that I would've gotten a backup because I cannot get enough of this!
SKIN
  • Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Floral Toner: this year, I've been so into all things rose! Perfume, lotion, body wash.....everything! So it was no surprise that I ended up loving this toner!! It was so cooling and refreshing to my face, especially after a detox mask! Only thing is that the nozzle spits a lot at you, so I had to resort to spraying it in my hand and applying it that way.
  • Clinique Pep Start Hydroblur Moisturizer: I had picked up the little trave size for Sephora a while back, but didn't put it to the test really until I took it with me out of town for a wedding. When I finished my makeup , I couldn't believe how poreless and smooth my face was! It performed even better than some pf the traditional smoothing primers in my collection! So of course, I ended up grabbing the full size (even better because it was on sale!!)
  • Garnier SkinActive Extra Nourishing 3-in-1 Moisturizer---"Aloe Vera & Almond": this balances my skin so well!! I've had a lot of dryness around my mouth for years in the colder months, but it has pretty much disappeared since incorporating this cream! It'd also multi purpose , so you can use it as a mask, day or night time cream!
  • Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Active Brightening Oil : I'm so loving this oil!! Andra Renee talks about this brand all the time, so when I had seen a little 3 piece set that included this oil  for 50% off, I leaped at the chance to try it! SInce I've been using it, my dark spots have faded and softened over time!!

HAIR
  • Miss Jessie's Baby Buttermilk: I hadn't used this product from Miss Jessie's since the very early part of my natural hair journey, and I have no idea why I ever stopped!! Though it's more on the pricey side, it provides my hair with so much moisture and softness!! My curls feel line a fluffy pillow once this dries down & I'm not mad about it!
  • Herbal Essences Coconut Milk Oil Infused Creme: combined with the Baby Buttermilk, this is one magical product!! It clumps my curls and defines them  without leaving a crunch!! Most days when I use this, I find that I don't need an extra gel in the mix, so it helps me save time and product for some of my others inthe rotation!
  • Parnevu For Extra Dry Hair Leave in Conditioner: though I've used this year round, this is my absolute holy grail conditioner for winter time! It's thick and creamy and weighs my hair down just enough for my styles to last, but for my hair to still remain hydrated. It serves as a bomb base for styling!
MISCELLANEOUS
  • Shop Miss A Open Heart Gem Studs: I worn these adorable earrings so many times this month!! I'm so shocked that a pair of $1 earrings would grow on me so quick!! I for sure want to order the silver pair (I currently own the gold ones) & probably a  backup of the two!
Well, that is all my favorites for December!  Let me know: what are some of your December favorites and non-favorites? I'd love to know!! I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!! As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
