Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! So we are now wrapping up with part 4 of my Best of Beauty series, which is all about the miscellaneous! If you missed the other 3 parts, click here to check those out! Aside from the makeup, I've delved into some other areas and found some gems this past year! So if you're interested in all my favorite miscellaneous items for 2018, then just keep on reading!
TOOLS
SKIN
TOOLS
- Japonesque brushes: why have people not been talking about this brand more??? Their brushes are so soft and fluffy , but durable!! I've tried so many since Ulta is discontinuing selling the brand, so I'd totally say get them now while you can (since they are a bit pricey normally). Or you can check out Walmart as well (though the selection is not super big).
- Morphe brushes: I've heard about their brushes for YEARS, but just never pulled the trigger and ordered any . but now that Morphe is sold through Ulta, I've tried quite a few and am very impressed! Like the Japonesque brushes, they're extremely soft and durable!! But they're a lot more affordable!
SKIN
- Sephora Purifying & Mattifying Mud Mask: when I say this made my skin so soft, like a baby's behind 😍😍😍😍 plus it dries out my acne so fast!
- Freeman Masks: if you are a guy or girl on a budget but want some bomb af masks, this is your brand! Each is under $5 and there's a ton to choose from for different skin issues, from dryness to acne to dark spots to ultra sensitive skin!
- elf Hydrating serum: this has honestly changed the game for me!! I can never give up this serum in my skincare routine! I've tried other hydrating serums (and liked a couple), but nothing ever will replace this one!! I'm about to be on bottle # 6 , so that tells you how much I love it!
- Tree Hut body scrubs: I doubt I will ever splurge on a body scrub as long as these are around!! They get all my dead skin off and again, I'm left soft like a baby's behind! Plus, the oil in the scrubs leaves my skin so moisturized! And there's quite a few different scents to choose from, from fruity to floral to warm to sexy!
- Tone body washes: when I say these are the BEST body washes ever.......and I do mean EVER. They lather up a ton and clean my body very well without breaking the bank!! *especially Brazilian Glam ❤"
- Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity Facial Wash: If you want a refreshing minty fruit shot of water just splashed onto your face, you need this face wash!! A little goes such a long way (1 bottle lasted me about 4-5 months), it got my face clean and didn't leave it dry and cracked!!
- Soo'AE Revitalizing Rose Mist: this was such a stand out spray!! I loved using this for my toner in the daytime or after I did a detox mask. I still love my Mario Badescu sprays, but this is slowly but surely replacing those for me.
- B&BW Mint Leaf and Bergamot Body Wash & Body Cream: I need for Bath and Body Works to make this scent permanent!! It's warm but clean with a little sexy mixed in. I literally get a so many compliments and questions everytime I wear this scent!
HAIR
- ORS Hairepair Oil: ohhhh this oil was my everything!! Besides smelling amazing, it worked so well for taking down my hair, scalp massages, hot oil treatments...even softening my skin!! Plus the nozzle top packaging made it way less messy to use!
- Creme of Nature Perfect 7 Leave in Treatment: a cult favorite among many naturalistas for good reason!! It detangles my hair without making it greasy and lessens the amount of breakage when I use a comb or brush to detangle vs. my fingers.
- Miss Jessie's Baby Buttermilk: I started using this towards the end of the year, and FELL IN LOVE! It made my hair so soft and moisturized, like a baby's skin! I tried the Baby Buttercreme years ago and loved that & wasn't sure if this would be too lightweight. But it's definitely not at all!!
- Herbal Essences Coconut Milk Infused Styling Creme: this and the Baby Buttermilk were pretty the only stylers I used the fall and not winter time!! this was perfect for defining my curls and holding my hair style without using a gel!
- Jane Carter Nourish and Shine: I don't believe I've really talked about this a lot, but I've used it pretty consistently throughout the year!!It's a great sealant for my hiar when it's in twists, when I do my scalp massages or on my body!! It has an earthy floral scent, but not too overwhelming! It is pricey, but so worth it!
- Lusti Shea Butter Edge gel + The Mane Choice Hair Type 4 Leaf Clover Freezing Gel: my edges would be slayed every time I put these two together!! The Mane Choice is great in terms of holding my stubborn coily edges in place while helping them regrow, whilst the Lusti gel is great to really smooth them down since it's more waxy!
FRAGRANCE
- Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Blackberry: easily could be my signature scent!! It's warm yet fruity, but not too much of one thing (which I love)!! I think this would be perfect for someone that is trying to find a signature scent, but doesn't want anything too out there or overwhelming.
- Versace Bright Crystal: if you feel like being super girly and dainty, this is your scent!! I got a sample from Sephora , and fell in love!! It's the classic sweet girl scent and I cannot wait to buy the full size!
- B&BW Mineral Co. Sprays (Aquamarine, Rose Quartz): though I'm slowly getting into perfumes, I'm always gonna be more of a body spray girl because they aren't so strong that they'll choke a person. But I am in love with these!! Rose Quartz is similar to Bright Crystal scent wise (just not as loud), while Aquamarine is more of a oceanside beach scent.
YOUTUBERS
- Tifjef069: I don't even need to say how much I love me some Auntie Tiff ! Just know that I do to the moon and back!
- Andrea Renee: She's definitely been another of my absolute favorites this year! I love how laid back she is in her videos, but how honest she is too!
- Juicyjas: She could be talking about Clorox and I'd still support her! She literally feel as if she's one of my close girl friends whom I obsess over all things beauty with! Plus the fact that we share the same birthday and name makes it just a tad bit better :)
- Beauty X Coco: She's a smaller Youtuber, but I do enjoy her channel! Specifically, her affordable fashion hauls!
- Katie Danger: She's another small Youtuber, but her makeup tutorials are so phenomenal! She;s for sure the cut crease queen, and when and if I decide to do one, I'll likely choose one of her tutorials to follow!
- Samantha March: I can always count on her to have the most unique beauty videos! There's so many topics that she's covered that I never would've thought about exploring! Plus, the dedicato she has uploading practically everyday?? That is skill.
- Andrea Matillano: she's so darn sweet and bubbly!! When I'm looking at something mainly Colourpop related, Andrea's my go to girl!
- Beauddiction: when I need to see swatches of a palette or other item I may be interested in, immediately I think of her! She literally has the BEST swatches on IG! She's newer to Youtube, but I definitely see her going far in the beauty world!
- Liorasmakeuploves52: for my TJ Maxx fixes, enter in this beauty!! I found her channel closer toward the end of the year, but I've been hooked ever since!!
- Britt's Space: Her journey is one most of the most inspiring and relatable!! Formerly one half of one of my favorite Youtube couples, I'm so proud of her taking life by the horns and doing her thing raising her 3 beautiful kids, even after her marriage had fallen apart before her subscribers' eyes.
Well, that concludes my best of beauty favorites for 2018! I'm excited to find out what great products I'll discover in 2019!! I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!! As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!
