Best of Beauty 2018 (Lips)

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome!  So we are now onto part 3 of my Best of Beauty series, which is all about the lips! If you missed the for 2 parts, click here to check those out! One of the largest parts (if not the largest) in my makeup collection are my lip products! I simply cannot get enough of creating different lip combos, trying of different shades & finishes....issa real addiction!  So if you're interested in all my favorite lip items for 2018, then just keep on reading!

  • Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Lip Scrub: before I apply any kind of lip color, my lips have to be preparated H. Who honestly wants nasty, dry, cracked lips?? So about every week or two, I would need to exfoliate the dead skin off my lips * this one was the business! It comes in a pot , but it's a heavy duty scrub and gets ALL the nastiness off my lips!! I think this one is perfect if you have really large, full lips that can handle the abrasiveness! I do hope that they come out with more scents (I tried the limited edition ones from their Flights of Fancy collection, but there's currently 3 scents that are permanent---tangerine, watermelon and brown sugar).
  • ELF Lip Exfoliator: now if your lips are more sensitive or thinner or simply too lazy to dig into a pot of lip scrub, this is the guy for you!! It comes in a  traditional lipstick packaging and  you just apply like a lipstick or lip balm!! There's also a few different scents to choose from (my personal favorites are Sweet Cherry and Mint Maniac).
  • Ulta Beauty Juice Infused Lip Oil:  this year, I've gotten heavy into lip oils!! They are so convenient if you want a glossy lip without it feeling too heavy or sticky! Plus , these smelled so amazing!! I hope they come out with more scents, because I cannot get enough of these!
  • Sephora Collection Lip Balm: I fell for these lip balms the second half of the year and have no clue why these aren't more popular! The formula of these are not extremely thin, but not insanely thick. Yet, they still last on my lip a long time. So far, I've tried the Almond and Goji ones , and my lips have never felt smoother (even when I'm not wearing any makeup).
  • Nugg Hydrating Lip Mask: another great find for lip hydration for me! I only use this at night because it has a pretty strong white cream undertone, so I do look a little bit like Tyrone Biggums when I use this. But the benefits I get from using this make it all worth it!!
  • Farmacy Lip Bloom: this potted lip balm is perfection!! It's not too greasy but not drying at all (yes, some lip balms can dry your lips out like crazy). Plus they smell so good and yummy, but not artificial.
  • NYX Slide on , Glide On Lip Liner---"Urban Cafe": the Colourpop lippie pencils before Colourpop was thought of!! These are so creamy, pigmented and last a long time!! I have several, but "Urban Cafe" is my personal favorite. It's the perfect chocolate brown--not super deep but not too light! It warms up my lip colors that may be a little lighter or transforms the color to run a little deeper on me!
  • Jordana Easyliner for Lips---"Coco Loco": when I wasn't using my NYX liner, this was the other rown liner that stole my heart! Plus, I love the fact that it's retractable, so you don't have to worry about really needing to sharpen!
  • NYX Slim Lip Pencil---"Mahogany": a two time winner for me!! When I wasn't wanting to wear a brown liner, this was my other baby! It's a brown toned mauve, which is makes it the prefect color to be really neutral or  a little vampy without over doing it! I've purchased quite a few because this color is always sold out, so I buy a ton when I see it!
  • LA Colors High Shine Lipglosses: normally , I'm a matte lip lover, but this past year I've gotten heavy into glossy lips! Something about the shine and juicy look of a lip gloss just did something to my soul! Which was why I fell so hard for these joints!! They're not insanely opaque, but still very pigmented and last a good while (even beating out some of their high end contenders) !! The most worn shades for me were "Fresh" and "Dollface"!
  • ABH Lip Glosses: meet the hotter , older sister to the LA Colors glosses! These are so opaque and wet looking and just delicious!! Plus for a high end gloss, it isn't insanely expensive, which I'm not mad at!
  • Buxom Full on Lip Creams and Lip Polishes: do I EVEN need to say any more about these??? If you have not tried them out STILL, you're missing out big time! (Alot of people ask the difference between the lip creams and lip polishes---the lip polishes have some glitter, while the lip creams do not).
  • Hard Candy Plumping Serum lip gloss---"Second Base": if you wanted an even more affordable option of a plumping gloss, you need to try these!! Specifically , the shade "Second Base", which is a nude toned burnt orange that would fit a lot of skin tones! And like the Buxom ones, it's not extremely painful to wear on the lips!
  • ABH Liquid Lipsticks: one of my absolutely favorite brands for liquid lipsticks!! They have more of a moussy texture, so they can cake up  it you use too much. But I don't mind because they're not insanely drying on my lips!  Plus they have SO many colors to choose from!! I think the only shades they don't have are black or white. But virtually any shade you'd want, you can find!!
  • Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color ---"Cinnamon Toast": The drugstore has also released a ton of liquid lipstick options and I've fond some good ones, but this one particular liquid lip has been my everything!! It's like the Mahogany lip pencil from NYX in a liquid lipstick form---so I can wear it literally with everything (a neutral look look, a bold lip, a no-makeup makeup look). And I actually can see the inside of the tube because I've used it so much!!
Well, this wraps up part  three of my best of beauty series!! hopefully, you guys found some great items to try out for yourselves!! stay tuned for part 4, the finale! Thanks for reading and like always, Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
