2019 Beauty Favorites (non-makeup)

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome!  Honestly, where has 2019 gone?? This year has blitzed by so fast, but hopefully 2020 will be a fantastic year.  Nonetheless, I discovered some amazing products that held it down for me both in the makeup and non makeup categories. So if you're interested in hearing about my non makeup faves for 2019, then just keep reading!

SKINCARE
  • Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam: I didn't think I would love this as much as I do, but it's magic! It removes my makeup without making my skin feel dry and cracked. Plus , the light rose scent is everything!
  • Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk: i prefer this to remove more of my heavy duty, full glam makeup! I never feel like I have to go in with a separate cleanser after this (i still do just to be sure all my makeup is gone)
  • Soap and Glory Face Soap and Clarity : no matter what face wash I tried out, I always go back to this one!! It's the perfect cleanser for my combo/oily skin! I believe I'm on my 3rd bottle now since I discovered it last year.
  • IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser: on the rare occasion I wasn't using S&G, this was my go to!! It's advertised as a hydrating cleansing serum (a little strange), but I love it!! I always took it with me when I would travel because it didn't dry my skin out, but still left me clean!
  • Korres Greek Yogurt Foaming Cream Cleanser: to me, this was the thicker sibling of the IT Cosmetics cleanser! This was also a little more gentle, but still it worked well for me!
  • Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow: this has helped out my texture so much!! Every time I used this, my skin felt refreshed and rejuvenated. I've tried both the Daily 2% and the Extreme 6% and live both equally!
  • Pixi Glow Tonic: I now understand why so many people are OBSESSED with this toner. Holy cow 😮 😲 I have never seen instant results from a skincare product like I did with this one!! I definitely wanna pick up a larger bottle when I get through my other products.
  • Revolution Skincare Superfruit Serum & Primer: this made my skin incredibly soft to touch, plus it smells like vanilla cupcakes!!
  • The Ordinary Caffiene Solution 5% +EGCG: if you are a struggler of dark circles and puffy undereyes, meet your saving grace!! Working 12 hours as a nurse, I often look more tired than not. But since using this serum, I look more alert and alive!
  • Ulta Beauty 24k Gold Beauty Oil: when I'm going through a awful dry patch spell, this right here.....honey , pick this up and thank me later!! It leaves me very glowy and healthy looking!! (Fair warning, if you don't like a ton of glow, this is not for you)
  • Clinique Moisture Surge 72 hour Auto Replenishing Hydrator: such an amazing moisturizer!! Why did I wait years to try this out??
  • Tony Moly Magic Food Banana Sleeping Pack: my skin is incredibly soft after I put this on at night!! It's a cream based mask, so a little goes an extremely long way. And the banana scent isn't too overbearing since I cannot stand bananas at all.
BODYCARE
  • Listerine Nightly Reset Mouthwash: such a huge gamechanger in my dental routine! My mouth and teeth feels so clean without burning and feeling irritated!
  • Lush Cosmetics Rose Jam Shower Gel: I've NEVER fell in love with a shower gel as much as this one!! A tiny amount spreads so nicely, and the smell is impeccable! I've had my same bottle since October and I'm maybe about 1/2 way through. Expensive, but totally worth it!
  • Suave Essentials Body Wash "Cucumber Agave Smash": now if you don't want to drop $30 on a shower gel but still want one that's effective and has a bomb smell, look no further!! This one has more of a fresh yet sweet scent because of the cucumber, but I still love it the same!!
  • Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrubs: I'll never stop loving this brand of scrubs! You can choose from so many scents, are extremely affordable and are pretty abrasive yet effective for removing dead skin.
  • Soap and Glory The Breakfast Scrub: when I wasn't grabbing a Tree Hut scrub, this was my number one! This was a bit more gentle due to the oatmeal, but still got off all my dead skin!
  • Soap and Glory The Scrub of Your Life: a perfect addition to a lazy person's shower routine! It smells very girly, lathers up really well and makes the skin feel super smooth after!
  • Crabtree and Evelyn Nutri Oil: I loved to spray this on top of all my lotions and body butters for some extra glow and freshness!
HAIRCARE
  • Hollywood Beauty Olive Cholesterol: I cannot get enough of this deep conditioner!! it's the perfect balance of strength and moisture, especially when I'm not sure which one my hair needs more of that wash day!
  • Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Leave In: no leave in conditioner , in my eyes, will ever top this one!! It's hydrating, works great as a detangler and smells so delicious!
  • Miss Jessie's Leave In Condish: this wasn't the most moisturizing product on my hair, but this coated my hair like no other (in a good way). I was about to get through my hair so much easier when I incorporated this!
  • The Mane Choice Ancient Egyptian 24k Glistening Gold Gel: my hair was always super juicy when I used this gel!! It almost expanded my coils , in a sense (doesn't claim to, but I'm not ma at it).
  • Eco Styler Gold Gel: I wasn't super into Eco Styler gels for the longest. Then , I got a few samples of this from Target and I was hooked!! My hair didn't feel dried out , but still was ultra defined!
  • Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic: this gel is literal MAGIC!! No matter what combo of products I paired this with, this truly made my style come out amazing without feeling hard and stiff!
  • Jane Carter Solution Nourish and Shine: an amazing multipurpose product! I would add this to my deep conditioners,  on my dry patches on my skin, and as a final sealant!
  • Alikay Naturals Shea Yogurt Hair Moisturizer: my saving grace when I would have a style go totally wrong. When my hair was super frizzy or felt like straw, I would add this when I retwisted and the next day, my hair was popping!!
  • Pumpkin Seed Oil: Since I started using this oil, I don't plan on ever being without it again! My dryness and breakage has decreased tremendously!!
  • Satin Scrunchies: I love these to pieces!! I use these throughout my entire hair routine, from sectioning to apply my products, preserving my style or helping give my hair a little more stretch. I also love these for my dirty hair styles since they don't break my hair!
Well, this wraps up my 2019 non makeup favorites!! hopefully, you guys found some great items to try out for yourselves!! stay tuned for my makeup favorites from 2019! Thanks for reading and like always, Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
