Hey, beauties! Welcome back and if you're new around these parts, I welcome you! Today is going to be another installment in my Beauty Supply 5 series! If you've missed any of my previous posts in this series, click right here to catch up!! As you see by the title, this one is all about single shadows! Most of us prefer the convenience of palettes these days, (me included), but sometimes, I just want to do a simple one or two shadow look & don't necessarily want to dig out a big ol' palette to do so. It's easy to pop on a couple singles on my eye and be out the door. So, if you guys are interested in some good eyeshadow singles , then keep on reading!
*Honorable Mention---NYX Prismatic Eyeshadows: I don't use these as often, but when I do, I fall back in love! These reminds me of the Loreal Infallible shadows, but just in traditional single shadow packaging. But they're extremely foiled and metallic!!
Well, we've reached the end !! Hopefully you've found some good products within this list to try out for yourselves! Let me know: what are some of your favorite affordable eyeshadow palettes?? Thanks for reading, and like always, Stay Beautiful!
ELF Baked Eyeshadows: these are a buildable metallic finish that I love!! There's been many a day that I pop one of these shadows all over my lid or in the inner corner and was out the door! I also have used these as face highlighters and they are amazing for that! Only thing: you have to scrape the top layer down a little to get to the actual pigment. Annoying, yes, but since these are fairly inexpensive, I didn't mind too much. If you want something more subtle, use these dry. But if you want it more blinding and in your face, use these wet.
LA Colors Single Shadows: Run (not walk, RUN) to your nearest Dollar General store and pick these up!! they cost a whopping 50 cents and blew my freaking mind!! the texture is a bit drier for the matte shades, but when applied to the eye, they are stunning! I've raved about these so many times for good reason!! I do wish that they had a matte black , however.
L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadows: their eyeshadow palettes have been very lackluster for me, but these singles??? AHMAZING. they're literally pressed pigments that apply so smoothly! these are great to just pop on your lid, throw a matte transition color in the crease and be on your way! You can also use these as highlighters for the face , as well!!
Milani Bella Gel Powder Eyeshadows: these are some of the creamiest singles I own! they swatch like a creamy gel, but dry down to a powder finish! I've done a lot of one-two shadow looks with these and have been blown away every time! I also use some of the colors as face highlighters, and they aren't chunky or overly glittery!!
Coastal Scents Hot Pots: these are another great inexpensive option for single shadows ! there's over 200 shades to choose from , so anyone can find a color that they love in a matte, satin or shimmer finish. it's even better to shop for these with they have their 99 cents sale because you can create you go to palette for under $20, which is tougher to do these days since drugstore makeup is getting pricier by the day.
