January Favorites 2019

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! We've arrived with our January favorites, and it's insane! We're already a month in 2019, which is insane to believe. But I'm always finding new products to try and love! So if you want to know my favorites for the month of January, then just keep reading!

SKINCARE
  • Trader Joe's Warm Vanilla Body Butter: it works just  like other body butters, but the whipped texture makes it easier to spread and absorb into my skin! Sometimes, my products can feel a little heavy on my body, but not this!! It felt very lightweight and non greasy!
  • Shea Moisture Bath, Body & Massage Oil w/ Frankincense and Myrrh: this is perfect to mix in with lotions and body butters that are a bit too thick to spread or aren't hydrating enough on their own.  It has a earthy sort of scent, but not overbearing to me!
  • Skinfood Peach Sake Emulsion: I was so impressed with this brand's Lettuce/Cucumber emulsion, that I had to try out this one!! And this is just as amazing! This collection is geared more towards pores and oiliness, which I also deal with. and since using this, my skin looks so good!
  • Coop + Daisy C-Plus Day Serum: one of the few vitamin C based products I feel actually works!! I have some stubborn dark spots by my eye area, and since using this in my routine , they have faded a ton!!
  • elf Hydrating Water Essence: Since old man Winter is in full force, I'm more focused on hydrating my skin. Now, this product, I thought was a big gimmick....then I saw it in so many Youtube videos and Marshalls and TJ Maxx stores. So I broke down and tried it out. and I love it!!!! It's like the Hydrating Serum in water form (and you know I stand for that serum)! plus, the light coconut scent made it even easier!!
  • Sephora Collection Micellar Cleansing Water---"Pomegranate (Anti-fatigue & Energizing)" [couldn't find this one, but here's another one that's similar]: crazy that this micellar water really does help energize me!!I love using this every morning since I get up pretty early for work and more than not, I'm not feeling it. But this makes my day go a little easier!! I also use this when I get home to just unwind sometimes and get the nursing home smell out my nose!
  • Pixi Glow Tonic chile.......how......why.....what even...???? I've heard so many BOMB things about this toner, but just never wanted to spend the money on it because I think it's high key small (I still do). But when I was in Target a few weeks ago, I had found this set by Pixi that had a small baby bottle of this toner in it on sale, so I figured  why not try it now?? Ya'll, this is game changing for me!! Since I've used this in my skincare routine, my texture has gone down a ton, my dark spots have faded more and my skin just looks better overall!!
  • Pixi Rose Flash Balm: this was also in that Pixi set with the Glow Tonic, and this has also changed my skin for the better!! I've been obsessed with rose based skincare the last few months, and this was no exception! But this plumps and smoothes out my skin so nicely for makeup application or my other skincare products!

HAIR
  • Not Your Mother's Activated Bamboo Charcoal and Purple Moonstone Scalp Scrub: I was hunting for something different to deep clean my scalp without overdrying it. I had never checked out a scalp scrub before either, so I figured why not??? Yall, my hair was crazy soft after using this and my scalp felt cleaner!!I think this would be perfect for probably once a month to really remove the product buildup from my curls!
  • Miss Jessie's Leave in Condish: this has been my go to leave in for a while now! It isn't insanely moisturizing, but it give me just enough to work through my hair without weighing it down!! I will probably keep this around more for the spring/summer time, but I do really enjoy it! Only thing I would change it the scent: it reminds of Coast or Zest soap, which I like both, but it's a little strong.

MAKEUP
  • LA Colors Lip Oil: again, since winter is here, I gotta protect and hydrate my skin, and that includes my lips! I was watching a Dollar Tree haul and saw the person mention these oils. I've been obsessing over the Ulta lip oils and wanted to see how these compared. Though these don't replace the Uta ones for me, I do like these a lot!
  • Ofra Cosmetics Eyeshadow/Blush---"Country Road": though I love all shades of blush, one of my favorite shades to wear is orange. It just brings so much warmth and life to my face. I got this in an ipsy bag a long while ago, but I've been using this a ton the past month!! It's more of a softer orange, but it does well at providing a nice warm flush to my face (especially when I don't wear a ton of makeup) !
  • elf Primer Infused Blush---"Always Spicy": another blush color I love wearing is brick brown! So when one of my favorite YouTubers, Andrea Renee, raved up and down about this blush, I knew I needed it in my life!! Needless to say, she did not steer me wrong!! I love the  deep warm flush it gives my cheeks 😍
  • Flower Beauty Blush Bomb cheek color drops---"Cinnamon": these took a little bit of work for me to use them, but once I got the hang of it, I was hooked!! I love layering these under the elf blush ; it creates something magical!! It's more of a brick orange, but still beautiful!!
  • Morphe x Jaclyn Hill The Vault palette ---"Armed & Gorgeous": I know this collection had SO MUCH controversy surrounding its release, but this was one of the two palettes that I had wanted (Ring the Alarm being the other). This one is literally like fall in eyeshadow form. The mattes are a bit drier but do blend nicely, but the shimmers are so smooth and creamy!!
  • Japonesque High Density Foundation Brush: this brush is so amazing!! My foundation lends out in like 2.5 seconds and it packs powder very well!!
  • Black Radiance Precision Brow Sculptor: this is a more recent find, but it has knocked my socks off!! Lately I've been using the thicker angled tip brow pencils, but this is so good!! It's more of a medium thickness (not super thick but not super skinny), but it is wonderful!! I just wished the shade name was on the actual pencil instead of the paper packaging.
  • MAC Lip Pencil---Chestnut": this is such an OG product!! People have raved about this lip pencil for YEARS, but I finally picked it up late last year. Why had I not gotten this sooner?? Now, I still love my drugstore and affordable brown lip liners to death, but this is magical all on its own!! It's more of a medium-dark brown that is ESSENTIAL in your makeup collection!

MISCELLANEOUS
Well, that is all my favorites for January!  Let me know: what are some of your January favorites and non-favorites? I'd love to know!! I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!! As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
