July Favorites 2018.

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! May I just say two things: 1) July went by pretty slow and 2) we're almost 75%through 2018! what the what?!?!  Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for July, then just keep on reading!

MAKEUP
  • Wet N Wild P72 brush: I absolutely love this for blush and bronzer!! It's dense enough to apply the color, but fluffy enough to blend it out without leaving it streaky!
  • Wet N Wild P65 brush:  if you love the Contour brush from Real Techniques , but was upset that you couldn't buy that individually, this is the next best thing! It blends out my contour & my concealer, as well as apply my setting powders perfectly!
  • Morphe M441: another bomb , affordable blending brush!! some days, I will do a one or two matte eyeshadow look with just this brush!
  • L'oreal Infallible Blender Sponge: I'm more of a brush girl vs. a sponge girl, but lately I've been trying to give more love to my sponges. out of the ones I've been using, this one takes the cake!!  (spoiler alert: this is part of the "Juicyjas Made Me Buy It" post that is going live soon!)
  • ABH blush kits (Gradient, Radiant): these are both amazing!! The Radiant kit as more of the pinks/peach/coral blushes, while the Gradient is more the terracotta/purple family. Usually I mix at least two shades in whichever kit I wear that day, but I equally love both! (currently, only the Gradient one is available online. The Radiant kit has been sold in stores like TJMaxx or Marshalls)
  • Maybelline FIT ME! Loose Finishing Powder--"40 Dark": this powder is very smooth yet buildable! Some days, I do just concealer, this powder, brows, blush and mascara and I'm out the door!! This is also good if my foundation is a bit more orange and I want it to be a bit more neutral!
  • Colourpop Lippie Stix---"Pitch" & "Topanga": though I love me a good liquid lipstick, lately I've been trying to use my regular lipsticks more often before they go bad, and Colourpop does an amazing job with the different finishes and shade options. Pitch is a gorgeous  matte deep brown that gives you just a little bit of edge, while Topanga is a satin coral pink perfect for those softer romantic looks [or if you're a total Boy Meets World lover like I am].
SKIN/BODY CARE
  • Tom's Natural Odor Protection deodorant--"Tea Tree": I've been wanting to venture into natural deodorants since regular deodorant tends to leave small inflamed nodules in my underarm after a while, and I've really been enjoying this one! It's been doing well at helping block out the odor when I sweat without irritating my underarms!
  • Clean and Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser: I've been using this cleanser for years on and off, and I still love it now just as much as I did then!  The little bursting beads help wake me up on those that I'm just not feeling it (which is typically everyday LOL).
  • Olay Fresh Effects Shine Shine Go Away Shine Minimizing Cleanser: this is awesome for getting my face squeaky clean without being too dry and soaking up excess dirt and oil! I mostly use this cleanser at night time, but it's also great to use during the day as well!
  • Lumene Glow Reveal 60 Second Facial: another great option for us lazy folks!! my face feels really cool after I rinse this off in the shower!
  • elf Hydrating Serum: this just makes my skin feel amazing and plump!  it's perfect if you're just getting into serums or have more sensitive skin.
  • Versace Bright Crystal: the perfect scent if you want to be extra girly!! People used to rave about this perfume back in the day, and I was always intrigued. After smelling in Sephora one day, I got a sample and have been rocking it all month!
HAIR
  • Cantu Shea Butter ACV Root Relief & Root Rinse: though I've rocked box braids pretty much all summer , I have to keep my scalp cleaned on a regular basis because it can get really inflamed and itchy. These have been such a life saver for me!! The Root Relief is great for those days in between washes, while the Root Rinse is nice to mix in with my shampoo to really deep clean my scalp! Both contain apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil, which my hair and scalp loves both!
MISCELLANEOUS
  • You Will Know--Stevie Wonder: you want a song that you feel deep down in your soul?? look no further.
  • Overjoyed--Stevie Wonder: yet another great gem by one of the greats! Jesus, if you could let us have Stevie for like 30 more years I'd be alright with that lol. But seriously, I love him!!
  • Dinero--Jennifer Lopez/DJ Khaled/Cardi B: overall, I'm pretty much an old school music lover, but every so often, I find a more recent song that I enjoy & this is my current one!!
  • Boyz II Men: my absolute favorite group ever ever ever in life!!! they have some great classic cult favorites , but some wonderful underrated gems as well! One day, I hope to see them live!!

Well, that is all my favorites for July! Let me know: what are some of your July favorites and non-favorites? I'd love to know!! As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
