Beauty Supply 5: Underrated Brands

Welcome back and if you're new around these parts, I welcome you! Today is going to be another installment in my Beauty Supply 5 series! If you've missed any of my previous posts in this series, click right here to catch up!! As you see by the title, today is all about underrated brands! There are so many brands that get a lot of hype and praise on social media, but there are other brands that are just as good (sometimes better) that I found just do not get enough love! Now, I could probably write an entire book about them, but these 5 brands really stood out to me!   So, if you guys are interested in my top 5 underrated brands, then keep on reading!
  • Black Radiance: do I need to say anything, really?? To me , they're like the Wet n Wild for deeper skin tones! They have a really nice color selection of their products without breaking the bank, plus they're really good quality overall! From foundations to eyeshadows to blush to lippies, Black Radiance will always have a special place in my heart!
  • Black Opal: though the price tag is a bit higher for a drugstore brand, it's another great option for people of color! I love their foundations, powders, mattifying primer and eyeshadow duos.
  • ULTA Beauty Collection: I've not tried as much from this brand, but what I have tried, I honestly enjoy! One thing I can say though: the foundations need some serious work when it comes to color selection. There isn't a shade I feel really suits my skintone. They're either too light or too ashy =( but other products that were stars are their blushes, lippies,  concealer and brow products! They also offer skincare products as well!
  • Sephora Collection: this falls into a similar category like the ULTA collection, but one major difference is that their foundation and concealer selection is definitely more POC friendly. I also haven't played with a lot  from this brand, either. But the blushes, cream lip stains and concealers are amazing!! I've also tried out a good bit of their skincare and was really impressed!!
  • Alba Botanica: unlike the other four brands I mentioned, this one is geared more towards body/hair/skin care. But I've tried out some really great things from this brand. But what really sold me is the fact that they pride themselves on not utilizing harmful  chemicals to make great products.  So far, the Hawaiian Detox line has stolen my heart! the cleansing wipes, facial cleanser and scrub have been stellar for me! I also have been dabbling into the Fruit Detox line as well!
Well, we've reached the end !! Hopefully you've found some good products within this list to try out for yourselves! Thanks for reading, and like always, Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
