may favorites 2018.

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Insane that we've already are almost half through 2018! But, onward we must go with time.  I have a decent number of  things to rave about, so if you guys wanna know about my May favorites, then just keep on reading!

MAKEUP

  • Nicka K Contour Duo---"NDO09": the best bronzer/contour duo for deeper skin tones! If you've been following me for a while , you know how much I rave about the contour palette from Black Radiance in Medium/dark, but I've grown to love this one just as much. it's a bit  drier in texture, but I still get a nice natural sculpt to my face without looking too masculine.
  • NYX Slide On, Glide On lipliner ---"Urban Cafe": I've obsessed with this lip liner to the millionth degree! Even if I don't wear much makeup, a good chocolate brown liner makes me look a little more put together. I love how creamy and long lasting this is, too!
  • Hard Candy Plumping Serum lip gloss ---"Second Base": lately, I've been loving plumping glosses to give my lips that little extra oomph (whether I have a lippie on or not). I saw this in Walmart and wad drawn by the brown nude undertone and I had to have it. This is great if you're thinking the  Too Faced Lip Injecton or the Buxom Lip Polishes that I love are too harsh and sting you lips too much. You can feel the tingle , but it isn't painful or uncomfortable at all!
  • Pixi x itsjudytime ItsEyeTime palette: I've been on this kick of really putting my palettes to the test what will stay and what will go. So, I pulled this palette out my stash and remembered why I loved it so much to begin with. I can do a soft, dainty daytime look or an edgy nighttime look without issue! They're all neutral shades in the palette, but they're bomb in quality (with the exception of Night Night, it's a bit drier). My favorite shade is Brick (satin matte terracotta orange), the best transition/lid shade ever!!
  • Wet N Wild On Edge Longwearing Eye Pencil ---"You're the Yin": one of the creamiest black liners ever!! I have virtually no trouble gliding this on my waterline or upper lash line, and it lasts all day on me! Especially since my eyes water and it's summer time , so my allergies start kicking up.
  • Black Radiance Perfect Tone Matte Lip Cream---"Berry Naked": the prettiest deeper rosy nude for darker skin tones!  The texture is super light weight and watery, so it dries super quickly. But this isn't drying or real flaky, so it's really comfortable!
  • Kokie 618 Buffing Foundation brush I found out about this brush from Juicyjas, and knew I had to have it! Sure enough, I got it and fell in love!!  this is a cross between the Morphe M439 and the Real Techniques powder brush. I can blend out liquid foundation in no time flat, then pack on powder with ease!
  • CoverGirl Look Lock Up setting sprayI thought the Milani Make it Last was the  HBIC  when it comes to setting sprays, but this is giving Milani a run for its money.  It performs just as well as the Milani spray & costs the same, but about double the size!!
  • L'oreal Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Mascara ---"Transparent": If you want the appearance of thicker, fuller, fluffier brows---YOU NEED THIS.  The fiber infused formula is so nice and lasts all day long!!
  • ULTA Ultra Slim Brow Pencil---"Dark Brown": lately, I've been digging doing my brows with skinnier pencils  to enhance their natural shape. and this one is spectacular! It's not too creamy that it will just wipe off, but not too stiff that you have to put a ton of pressure on to make the pencil show up. they're half the price of the ABH Brow Wiz, as well as offer a nice color selection!

HAIR
  • The Mane Choice Green Tea and Carrot Deep Strengthening and Restorative Mask Treatment: I definitely notice a difference in my curls when I introduced this into my routine. Since then, my hair has decreased in the amount of shedding and excess breakage! Whenever I detangle with my fingers/comb/brush, I haven't had much hair to clean up off the floor after.
  • Shea Moisture JBCO Strengthen, Grow & Restore line: if I only had to choose one hair product line to use for the rest of my life, this would be my winner! I've tried the majority of everything and love it, but my two main stars would have to be the leave in conditioner and the styling lotion. The leave in provides my coils with great slip , while the styling lotion gives me moisture that lasts for days!

SKINCARE
  • Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean Deep Cleansing Milk: this is perfect for removing just about all my makeup! Unlike other makeup removers I've tried, I don't feel the need to wash my face afterwards. I sometimes still do, but it's not absolutely necessary!!
  • Skinfood Egg White Perfect Pore Cleansing Foam: I love this to give my face that squeaky clean feeling without making i t feel super dried out afterwards! I can also say that the "pore perfect"  aspect is also true because the pores in my cheek area are a bit smaller than before I started using this cleanser!
MISCELLANEOUS
  • Prince Tai: I hate how short his videos are, but each one never fails to make me laugh!! But, if you haven't checked him out, you HAVE to!!
  • No Tears Left to Cry - Ariana Grande: the infectious beat and lyrics is addictive!! I would cut this one at least six times a day and would belt my heart out!!
  • In Technicolor Part 1- Jesse McCartney: no matter how long I go without listening to this, I always get drawn back in . I did another post about this song a few years back, and a lot of what I said still stands true. Just go listen to this asap.....DO IT.
  • Another Lonely Night--Adam Lambert: he's seriously the male version of Pink. His raspy yet soulful voice just does something to my very soul in this song!!

Well, that is all my favorites for May! Let me know: what are some of your May favorites and non-favorites? As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
