June Favorites 2018.

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! how is 2018 already 50% over?? I just cannot deal! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my June favorites, then just keep on reading!

SKIN/BODYCARE
  • Coppertone Clearly Sheer Sunscreen Spray  I love spray on sunscreens merely for convenience!! They take way less time to rub in and absorb into the skin vs. traditional sunscreen, and leave no white cast!! I bought for my trip to Jamiaca last month and haven't put it down since!
  • Your Good Skin Balancing Skin Concentrate: this claims to be an all in one facial serum for just about every skin type. I had tried a sample a few months ago and really liked it, so I chose to snag the full size & I am very satisfied! It doesn't do everything it claims, but my skin texture has gone down and my oiliness is more controlled since incorporating this serum!!
  • Sephora Collection Green Tea Micellar Cleansing Water: I was so impressed with the Charcoal micellar water from this brand, that I had to try out more!! The green tea one claims to be both anti-blemish and mattifying, and I've really been enjoying it!! I can feel it pulling off the excess dirt and oil off my skin without being super harsh and drying!
  • B&BW Mint Leaf & Bergamot Body Wash: so creamy and hydrating! When I get out the shower, sometimes I don't feel like I per se have to put lotion on ! Plus, we all know how obsessed I am with the smell!!
  • Clean & Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer: I had raved about my Eucerin Q10 sunscreen lotion a while ago, but since it's getting hotter, at times I get oilier faster when I just use that one alone. Enter in this guy! Now, by itself, this is a bit too lightweight for my liking. But combining it with my Eucerin moisturizer, it's perfect!! It allows my face to be hydrated without getting greasy and oily!!
MAKEUP
  • ULTA Juice Infused Lip Oil: I love how lightweight + comfortable these are!! my lips are left super soft and hydrated (they are so darn dry most days) and the smell  is just divine. I've tried a ton of lip balms and oil treatments, and these have been stealing my heart all month!
  • Preventative Measures 101 After Hours Lip Balm: when I wasn't using the ULTA lip oils, I was grabbing for this guy! I got this in an ipsy bag and fell in love! Plus, I adore the passion fruit scent! But as recommended, I use this at night and when I get up the next day, my lips are not real flaky and crusty (gross, I know).  I definitely plan on picking up another one when I run out of mine along with the SPF 30 balm.
  • Wet N Wild Retractable Brow Pencil---Dark Brown: I love this for filling in and defining my brows! It's not super creamy that it slides everywhere, but not super dry and  stiff that it doesn't blend out easily. I need one in my collection at ALL times!
  • Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer: this is one of my OG favorite primers! I've been rotating my makeup out to try out as much as I can, and I rediscovered my love for this! It keeps me matte without making my face feel super tight and dry, and it also makes my  combo skin really smooth too! If I honestly had to choose one primer to use the rest of my life, this would be my guy!
  • PIXI x Maryam Maquillage Strobe and Sculpt palette: this all in one face palette is so good! the contour shades gives a nice natural shadow to my skin, while the highlighters are metallic and wet! But the shades that really shocked me were "Baby Chick" (matte light banana powder) and "Queen" (matte warm reddish brown bronzer). Baby Chick sets my concealer in place without looking super ashy and stark, while Queen just warms up my face without looking like a Oompa Loompa!
  • Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Glow highlighter---"Sunkissed": This is a gorgeous deep copper bronze cream highlighter!! It can be a bit stiff and dry to apply, but adding a couple eye drops for moisture has helped a ton! Lately, I apply it with a small stippling brush , then blend it out with my fingertip on my high points!
  • Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter---"Molten Gold": I had raved about the Molten Rose Gold highlighter a couple months back, that I was inspired to play with the OG. Though I do like the rose gold one a smidge more, this one is still really great!! My cheeks look so wet and shiny, but in a good way! I'm so excited to play with the other two shades they released also!!
  • Jordana Easyliner for Lips---"Coco Loco": I raved about the NYX Urban Cafe lip liner last month , and I still use that quite often. But when I'm just way too lazy to sharpen that liner, I've been grabbing this one! It's another great affordable chocolate brown lip liner that goes with any look! I've worn this with a full face, minimal makeup, even no makeup at all!! I just cannot get enough!! If you were on the hunt for  a bomb brown retractable liner under $5, look no further!
  • Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara:  another Rimmel product  that has stolen my heart! this mascara is claimed by many to be a dupe for the Better than Sex mascara from Too Faced, and I honestly agree! The Too Faced mascara is a tad more black to me, but side by side, I really cannot tell a huge difference! my lashes are fluttery and fluffy every time #obsessed!
  • Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer----"28 Clove": I've been reaching for this foundation nonstop all month because of how long it wears, the comfort level + how flawless my skin looks! the color matches my face + chest pretty well, but I do struggle with it matching my neck. So I mix a little bit of a darker foundation to make it work a little better (the joys of laser hair removal), but overall, this foundation is an A++++++++ for me!
  • Morphe M321: this little bullet shaped brush is perfect for blending out color of my lower lashes or in the outer V of my upper lid! I've been impressed overall with Morphe brushes & definitely plan on expanding my collection!
  • Milani Highlighter Blending brush: to me, this brush is very reminiscent of the Anastasia A23 brush. I'd been wanting that brush for a while, but just didn't want to spend the $25 for it. So when I  had seen this $9 potential contender from Milani in  my Walmart, I got pretty excited about it! It applies my highlighters perfectly without being streaky or patchy! So, I would say save yourself $16 and pick up this brush!
MISCELLANEOUS
  • Changed---Jordan Feliz: A lot of people describe this as a Christian version of "Happy" by Pharrell, and I can see where they get it from. Whenever I listen to this song, my mood instantly improves & I never want it to end!
  • Tre Melvin: I've enjoyed watching him come into his own over the last 4 1/2 years I've watched him. He can make you laugh and evaluate your life decisions at the same time, and I respect that!!
Well, that is all my favorites for June! Let me know: what are some of your June favorites and non-favorites? I'd love to know!! As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
