April Favorites

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month!  Crazy to think that we're already through 25% of the year . But, I've been really trying to try out more products within my stash  and I have a quite a few to talk about. So, if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for April, then just keep reading!

SKINCARE
B&BW Mint Leaf & Bergamot Olive Oil Body Cream: so hydrating and smells amazing!! I'm so mad at myself for not buying a backup =( if they have this during the Semi Annual sale, I'm so swiping like 5 of these up!
Pacifica Coconut & Cherry Makeup Dissolving Milk: I've actually been using this for months, but kept forgetting to mention it lol. But this makes makeup removal so much easier! It literally breaks down EVERYTHING super fast and leaves my skin oh so soft!! plus the smell is DIVINE!!!

HAIRCARE
Shea Moisture 100% Pure Flax Seed Oil: this oil is lightweight, but really packs a punch! Since incorporating this into my hair routine, my hair has not felt as dried out throughout the week! I find that I only have to hardcore remoisturize and restyle my hair about once a week, since my hair is holding up the style a lot longer!
Dark & Lovely Anti Shrinkage Curl Clumping Creme Gel: this does hold very true to its claims! My hair doesn't shrink as tightly throughout the week, and the curl definition is more on the natural side vs. super stiff and crunchy. And since this is an oil based product, I don't find that I need to add any direct oils to seal in the moisture!

MAKEUP
ABH Prism Palette: To me, this is a luxurious palette! It has some great everyday colors, but what drew me in were the pops of color! I've really been into three shades, in particular : Saturn (ultra matte terracotta), Lure (matte ashy lilac) and Eternal (metallic violet copper).  to me, the color scheme is cohesive but still unique!
Becca Sunlit Bronzer "Maui Nights":  The universe suckered me in with this bronzer. I'd been looking at it for close to a year, then after watching so many other monthly favorites videos and all of them mentioning this bronzer, I knew I had to have it. Easily one of my top 5 bronzers! It gives this beautiful warmth to the skin without making me look orange! This is also perfect if you don't have time for blush and bronzer when doing your makeup.
Wet n Wild Photofocus  Pressed Powder "Dark Cafe": now that I figured out a way to incorporate this, I LOVEEEE.  this is perfect for setting my concealer. I kid you not : creasing is so minimal when I use this powder! Yet it's so lightweight and comfortable on the skin.
NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder "Naturally Beige": I used to use the Translucent loose powder back in the day and got rid of it, but happened to see this at the drugstore a while ago on like super clearance. Why, oh why, did I ever stop using this powder?? It locks my makeup in place ALL DAY LONG.  It also tends to blur my pores a little, too (completely unexpected, but I ain't mad about it!)
NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Sticks (Topaz Tan, Brick Red Blaze): lately, I'm getting more into cream products because you can build them up easier, compared to powders. I had seen these in Ulta and was interested in trying them out. These sticks are phenomenal! They last on my combo oily skin all day without being too pigmented or subtle. "Topaz Tan" is an amazing natural bronzer for deeper skin tones, while "Brick Red Blaze" is a saturated apple red that gives a great rosyness to my skin!
Juvia's Place Saharan blush palettes (Vol. 1 & 2): my jaw was on the floor every time I reached for these! Volume 1 is phenomenal for those who want more pop for their blushes, with the Volume 2 being more of an everyday palette. The colors that really stood out was Yara (soft brownish orange) from the Volume 2 palette and Aby (super rich deep purple) from the Volume 1.
Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter "Rose Gold": this highlighter is literally like butter!!  It's a gorgeous bronze rose shade that deeper people like myself can just drool over! It's buildable, so I can wear it as more natural or blinding. I've worn it alone and mixed with other highlights and love it both ways!!
Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighter "Golden Flower Crown": this reminded about how bomb the formula on these highlighters are! There's NO glitter or patchiness---it's straight up sheen and deliciousness! Out of the new shades Wet n Wild released, this one I knew I needed! It's a nice soft gold that multiple skin tones can rock!
Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter "Hu$tla Baby": this was my first taste of Fenty Beauty, and I was quite impressed. This came in a little gift set with the lip gloss, and I've been going ham with this!! It's a peachy golden color and I cannot get enough of how wet that makes the cheek look!
Maybelline Masterchrome Highlighter "Molten Rose Gold": this highlighter basically broke the internet. I've heard nothing but great things about how metallic and wet this was , so naturally I was intrigued. the hype is MAD real for this product!! every thing I heard was so so true! I do have the original gold one too, and cannot wait to play with that also!
NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder "Synthetica": I swear I'm almost done talking about highlighters lol, but I couldn't not mention this baby!  This is more of a peach/orange/gold combined, but I love it!! It reminds me of the Wet n Wild ones, just a bit stiffer in the pan. But it also gives me a nice sheen without chunky glitters!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks: I had wanted to try these out for a while, but didn't want to spend $20 a pop for each one. But when I saw these floating around Marshalls and TJ Maxx stores for about 70% cheaper, I was more than willing to check them out then. these are actually pretty comfortable and long lasting! My favorite shades thus far are Vamp (medium brown---for some reason, I can't find the liquid lipstick on the site??)  and Bittersweet (brown plum).
ELF Selfie Ready Skin Perfector: this is like the ELF pointed foundation brush meets the Morphe M439. It blends my foundation out so quickly and effortlessly!
Wet n Wild P75 (Tapered Highlighting) brush & Morphe M510 brush: both of these apply my highlighter beautifully! The Morphe brush is a little more expensive than Wet n Wild, but they're both fantastic!
IT Brushes for ULTA Airbrush Foundation brush: it's a bit small for foundation, but for concealer?? AMAZING!! I get done blending and setting my concealer so much faster since incorporating this brush! I'm not too into IT Cosmetics, but I'm really impressed with their brush quality!

MISCELLANEOUS
Yes! by Finishing Touch Hair Remover: a lazy girl's dream shaver! TBH:  I only really shave during the warmer months because that's when I show the most skin. But I don't really like regular razors because I cut myself all the time , so this is so helpful for me! I mostly use this on my legs, bikini line and underarms since I tend to get ingrown hairs and razor bumps in those areas. (and yes, I do clean it before I do each area mentioned).
Front Line by Stevie Wonder: amazing song about a Vietnam war vet by one of the most timeless artists!!

Well, that is all my favorites for April! Let me know: what are some of your April favorites and non-favorites? As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
