Beauty Supply 5: Primers

Welcome back and if you're new around these parts, I welcome you! Today is going to be another installment in my Beauty Supply 5 series! If you've missed any of my previous posts in this series, click right here to catch up!! As you see by the title, today is all about primers! No matter what foundation, concealer, cream or powder products you use, a good primer is essential for flawless, long lasting results!! Wheter your skin is Sahara desert dry or Crisco oily, I have options for everyone!  So, if you guys are interested in my primer suggestions, then keep on reading!
  • L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base Face Primer:  this is a great all in one primer! It fills in your pores, mattifies & helps your makeup stick for a longer period of time! My biggest gripe with it, though, is the packaging. Jar primers are just so inconvenient because they can get stuck under your nails, so I suggest you use a brush to apply it. Also, you only get 0.5 oz instead of the standard 1 oz. *for combination to oily skin*
  • NYX Angel Veil Primer: often compared to the famous Veil mineral primer from Hourglass, this one claims to provided a smooth canvas for the face to control shine and allow flawless makeup application. I have to say, those claims are very much true! I actually tried this over the summer (on probably one of the HOTTEST days), and my makeup stayed put ALL DAY LONG.  *for combination to oily skin*
  • NYX First Base Primer Spray: I've talked about this quite a bit, but this primer spray is perfection!! It just allows my skin to feel hydrated and more plump, and I find that my makeup stays in place just a little longer! This is perfect if you're in a hurry, have drier skin or just don't want to rub your primer in. *all skin types*
  • Hard Candy Sheer Envy Coconut Water Primer Stick: another great hydrating primer option! It makes my face feel super cool and it does a good job filling in my pores! I found that this applies best by swiping it on the face, then pressing it in.  *for normal, dry or comination skin*
  • Rimmel London Face Primers (Stay Matte, Fix & Perfect, Lasting Finish): I'm not too into Rimmel products, but their primers are absolutely fantastic! *Lasting Finish & Fix and Perfect works well for normal to combo skin, while Stay Matte is ideal for combo/oily to oily skin*
  • Honorable Mention: Ulta Oil Control Mattifying Balm---this is like the Loreal Magic Perfecting Base, except it's in a compact opposed to a jar.  It doesn't make my skin feel too dry or stiff, and literally I hear NOBODY talks about this!  *for combination to oily skin*
Well, we've reached the end !! Hopefully you've found some good products within this list to try out for yourselves! Thanks for reading, and like always, Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
