July/August Empties

Hello, loves!!
So, I'm back yet another empties post for July and August. As usual, I do mini reviews on each and whether or not I'd repurchase. Without any more delays, let's get rolling!!

-Calgon Sweet Crush exfoliating body wash: very nice smell (fruity and sweet), but sucks as a body wash to me. I felt like I had to use a ton every shower to get the lather I wanted. Will absolutely NOT repurchase.

-Studio 35 Beauty Daily Micro-shaping Cream: okay at moisturizing my skin, but I did get more oily if I used too much, especially on my forehead . Probably not a repurchase.

-GNC Vitamins E, A & D Moisturizing Cream: one of my faves!! I discovered this cream on YouTube about two years ago and I keep going back to it. It softens my skin and doesn't make me more oily than I already am. Plus it's only 2 bucks!! So if you're looking for a good starter moisturizer, this is a great one! Definitely a repurchase for me!

-Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie: it took FOREVER to use this up (#productjunkieprobs lol), but I love this! This is one of the most talked about, holy grail products on the natural hair market and I can see why! It keeps my hair moisturized and soft, especially in the summer time! I wouldn't per se recommend this in colder seasons because it's high in glycerin (a humectant for moisture ), so it can essentially suck the moisture from your hair, causing it to be drier. But I really do enjoy this on my curls!! For sure a repurchase!

- Shea Moisture African Black Soap Purification Masque: amazing masque for my hair! My hair feels softer after using it and detangling is so much faster with this stuff!! I'm a sucker for multipurpose products!! Will repurchase!!

-Peter Lamas Detoxifying Citrus C Cleanser: very gentle in my skin, but didn't blow me out the water . Though it did clean well , I feel I can find something in the drugstore that performs just as good, if not better. Probably not a repurchase.

-Walgreens Hand Sanitizer: works just as well as any other sanitizer I use. Light and not over drying.  Would repurchase.

-Aunt Jackie's In Control Anti-poof Conditioner: perfect on days where I feel kinda lazy with washing my hair . It's a deep conditioner, rinse out conditioner and a cowash!! Whenever I use this, my wash days are cut in half! Plus, it's pretty cheap (only 5ish bucks for 9oz). I will definitely repurchase this!!

-Mary Kay Timewise Body Targeted Action Toning Lotion: nice smell and kept me moisturized very well, but I feel like I have drugstore products that work just as well. Most likely not a repurchase.

-Bumble and Bumble BB Straight Blow Dry Cream: nice cream to use when I blow out my hair!! HOWEVER, I have another cream in my stash that works just as good and is cheaper. Would rebuy if it's on sale, otherwise probably not.
Well, that wraps it up from this post!! I hope you guys enjoyed reading. If you have any suggestions for post ideas or comments, leave them below or on my beauty Instagram @xpaintedfacesx. Thanks so much and like always , Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

August Favorites 2018.

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
