December & January ipsy bags: Thinking of You & Fresh Start

Hey, all! Today, I'm coming with another review on two more of my ipsy bags: Thinking of You [December] and Fresh Start [January]. Now before I jump into the review, if you're totally clueless as to what exactly ipsy even is, you can check out their website--www.ipsy.com--or the post I did on it back in September here.

Now, onto the review. Here's my December bag:
The products I received were:
  • NYX Butter Lip balm in "Ladyfingers"
  • Cailyn Cosmetics Just Mineral Eye Polish in "Orchid"
  • Crown Royal C416 Crease/Shadow Brush
  • Bumble & Bumble Bb Straight Blow Dry Cream
  • Tarte Lights, Camera lashes 4-in-1 Mascara
REVIEW: I've used everything but the blow dry cream and mascara so far (I'm a little nervous about atttempting a blowout on my hair again and I've got mascara for weeks to still get through lol)
  • The lip balm does give a slight wash of color , but can be a little drying [at least it is on me].
  • The eye polish is just amazing!! It's a gorgeous neutral and very pigmented on the skin. However, I will say the application can be a little messy. Also, it's very shimmery, so if shimmer is not your thing, you may not like this.
  • The brush----bomb. com!! The bristles are sooooooo soft and pick up color really well!! Plus, I've been on this dual-ended brush kick lately and this is a great addition to my growing collection.
Now, onward to January:

The products I received:
  • Nourish Organics Renewing Eye Cream w/ Avocado & Argan Oil
  • Pacifica Natural mineral Coconut Eye shadow in "Ethereal"
  • Manna Sheer Glo
  • J. Cat Beauty Fantabulous Gel eyeliner in "Blue/Black"
  • Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush
REVIEW: I loved each item in this bag!

  • The eye cream is very smooth going on and has been helpful with keeping the skin around my eyes moisturized in this winter weather, especially since it's been crazy windy and chilly. I already use argan oil on my hair and am loving that, so I was excited that this product had that ingredient in there too!
  • The eyeshadow is just beautiful! it's a perfect color to use as a browbone highlight, inner corner and a lid color as well. For me, it's a nice shimmery champagne color that I'm happy to use!
  • The sheer glo lotion actually surprised me pleasantly. I thought it was going to be WAYYYY too glittery, but it's actually a very subtle shimmer on the skin. Also with it being a light pink, I was afraid that it wasn't going to blend into my dark skin very well and I'd have this weird pink tint to my skin. It actually blended in seamlessly with my skin, which shocked me.
  • I'm a sucker for some good eyeliner, so I was so glad that this actually works well for me. Since my skin is oily, I've found that cream eyeliners tend to work the best for me since they're usually smudge proof and waterproof.
  • I actually was eyeing the set of brushes that had this brush in it for quite a while, but once I found out I was getting this brush in my bag, I decided to hold off on the set ---plus do I REALLY need more brushes??? no lol. It applies my cream eyeliner so smoothly and is actually better than an angeled brush for me. So , I definitely will be keeping this in the rotation!
Thanks so much for reading and like always, Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
