December Faves

Hey, all! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday :) [I get that not everyone celebrates Christmas, but'tis 'kay]. I decided to hop on and talk about the things I've been reaching for the most for the month of December and why I've been reaching for them:

  • CoverGirl TRU Minerals Pressed Mineral Foundation in #6 "Soft Sable"--it feels so light on my skin , yet it really does its job of evening out my skin tone on those days that I don't feel like fooling with liquid foundation [which is 98% of the time I put makeup on lol]
  • Maybelline  Eyestudio Color Tattoo Metal 24 hr eyeshadow in #70 "Barely Branded"---serves as a really great base to build any look upon!!
  • NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer in #8 "Nutmeg" ----the coverage I get from this concealer is the bomb.com & it's inexpensive as well! Plus, it's a nice highlight for when I fill in my brows.
  • Figs & Rouge Hand Cream---I believe this is from my October ipsy bag , but I do like the hand cream a lot! mainly, the size of the bottle. it's not super bulky like some travel size lotions can be, so I'm loving that!
  • Shea Moisture African Black Soap Body Lotion---this lotion keeps my skin super moisturized! I don't have to reapply constantly like I do with other lotions. However, one thing I don't particularly like is the struggle to get the lotion out the bottle [hence the white lines on my bottle from squeezing] . I'm not sure if every bottle is like that, but I'm hoping not because I do actually like it for my skin, especially in the colder seasons. But I refuse to fight with my lotion on the daily.
  • Makeup remover wipes--these are a random no name brand from Dollar Tree, but to my surprise, these remove my makeup pretty well!! Depending on how much I wear, I use either one or two (three if I use coconut oil to remove my makeup)
  • Mary Kay Timewise Matte Wear Liquid Foundation in Bronze #8 (not pictured)--On the 2% of the time I  want a little more coverage, I reach for this one. I've actually had this for almost two years & just started to play in it again. I'm a big fan of the way it dries down!
  • Bath & Body Works Wild Citrus Sunflower body lotion (not pictured)---this also keeps my skin moisturized nicely and the scent is AHMAZING. It's very flowery and fruity, but not overbearing to me. Since I picked up in the summertime, they probably do not have this scent anymore :( so I've started to slow down on my use of it.
  • NYC Individual Eyes palette in #001 "All Eyes on Us"---I think this palette is a nice add to my stash because the color selection can be worn everyday since it's more of a neutral selection [except the pink], comes with a primer and a gel liner!! So i'ts really like an all in one eye look for you!! If you haven't checked out thse palettes, I definitely say go for it. They're very inexpensive and bring a lot of your eye products together so you can shave off a little time. The only issue I have is creasing. So , I will be on the hunt for different primers to hopefully help me out with that. If you guys have any suggestions, leave them down below!
Thanks for reading and like always, Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

August Favorites 2018.

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
