Review: Nubian Heritage Shea Butter Soap

Hey, ya'll!! So, I'm finally getting on the reviews on all the Nubian Heritage products that I received a little while back [in case you missed that post about what I received, click here to read more].  As you read in the title, I'm reviewing the Shea Butter Soap with Lavender and Wildflowers--or the soap in the orange box lol.

The soap costs about $3.99 at my local beauty supply shop, $4.49 on the Nubian Heritage website or $4.99  at the Vitamin Shoppe. It claims to be hydrating, healing and calming for the skin and on the back, it talks about some of the ayurvedic properties about some of the focal ingredients in the soap, which for this soap, was lavender, wildflower buds, vitamin E and shea butter :) on another side of the packaging, there's a brief history of how Nubian Heritage got their start [which is included on all their body and bath products, as well as the Nubian Heritage website]. I decided to try this one first because of the fact that my skin was drying out like crazy due to a nasty flare up I had , plus my regular face cleanser had begun to dry out my face even more :( so it was perfect timing for me! Plus, I just like to try out new things lol.

The complete list of ingredients are as follows:
Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and/or Palm Oil, Lavender Buds, Wildflowers, Vitamin E, Vegetable Glycerin, Mineral Pigment or Vegetable Color, Essential Oil Blend

Pros
  • Decent amount of lather
  • Smell is the bomb.com !
  • Doesn't dry out my face whatsoever!!
  • Easy to read & understandable ingredient list LOL (ya'll know most cleansers have some crazy ingredients!)
  • 100% organic and cruelty free (so all you animal lovers and PETA activists, there is absolutely NO animal testing with these products!)

Cons
  • NONE AT ALL!!
Would I repurchase and recommend?? ABSOLUTELY!! Unfortunately, I'd probably  have to buy it off the NH website because I haven't seen this particular soap in any stores :/ but I definitely think that it lives up to its name!!

Thanks for reading and remember as always: Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
