October Favorites

Hello, beauties! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! We have finally arrived with my monthly favorites for October! We're officially in full fall mode and I'm here for it (except for daylight savings coming up----not a fan). Regardless, I found some really bomb products I could't get enough of! So, if you're interested in learning all about my October favorites, then just keep reading!

Smashbox Step by Step Contour Palette (Medium/Dark): I love this little trio!! The powders are very smooth and pigmented, but still easy to blend out and work with! I'm most obsessed with the bronzer shade ( a rich terracotta brick color) since I use it as both bronzer and blush whn I'm in a pinch.
Milani Soft Focus Glow (03 Bronze Glow): I love for a lit form within glow look!! I'll either wear this alone of natural skin days on the high points of the face or mixed with my foundation , and it's a pretty soft bronze sheen!!
NYX Angel Veil Primer: when I wanted more of a flawless base, this was my go to!! This primer is not new by any means, but I've been trying to shop my stash a little more frequently and forgot how good this primer was!!
Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter (Rose Gold): another shop my stash find that I rediscovered and fell back in love with!! It's more of an everyday highlighter for my skin,  but I love it nonetheless!
ABH Dipbrow Gel (Ebony) :an amazing brow gel to continue to show that ABH is that brand when it comes to brows!! It makes my brows look thicker than what they are, which is great when I wanna do either full glam or just keep it natural!
NYX HD Eyeshadow Base: one of the best affordable eye primers to date!! I have extremely oily lids, so I have to use primer for my eyeshadow looks or it will be crease city! I love the doefoot applicator packaging, and I honestly prefer this over my higher end eye primers!
ABH Subculture Palette: I'm happy yet upset that I waited to try this out: happy because I scored it at a super dirt cheap price, but upset because the formula is phenomenal!!
Colourpop Good Sport Palette: if you wanted Subculture vibes but not at the $42 price point, meet your go to fall palette! It took me a while to actually buy this because Colourpop releases and discontinues items nonstop, so when they had a 30% off sitewide months ago, I had to have it!! And I'm so glad I picked it up---the shimmers are popping and the mattes blend pretty smooth!
Colourpop Take Me Home Palette: I found this palette at Ulta late last year in the line waiting to checkout (they always get me 😂), but the size makes it perfect to travel with, supplement other palettes or if you're into everyday neutral shades. I'm surprised that I've reached for this as much as I have since it's so small!
AOA Studio Lip Liner (Blogger): a gorgeous caramel brown liner for those that I  like to wear with my nudes on the regular!!
Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara: I remember when KathleenLights had talked about this mascara in a monthly favorites, and I was intrigued but refused to pay the $24 price tag. But I gotten a mini size when I was still getting ipsy bags some months ago, and since I cracked it open recently, I've used it nonstop! It really does lengthen and extend my lashes like crazy!!
Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick (Deep Thoughts): a beautiful nude brown for deeper skintones! But the formula is always the #1 selling point for me! These are sooooooo comfortable on the lips! They don't crack or bleed all over my lips, nor accentate texture!
Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Lipstick (Salem): another brand with a bomb liquid lipstick formula! I've worn as both a all over lip color or as a liner for lighter lipsticks! These are a little more of a powder finish vs the Smashbox ones, but still super comfortable.
Milani Keep it Full Nourishing Lip Plumper (Tropical Shine): I'm actually about halfway through the gloss now because I've worn this nonstop!! I carry it in my purse, in my work bag.....wherever I go, this gloss goes with me!! It's a beautiful coral orange with golden glitters that just make your lips look delicious!

The Mane Choice Ancient Egyptian 24k Gold Twisting Gel: this gel clumps up my coils so nicely, I can get definition for days!! Even at the end of the two weeks when I wash my hair again, I can still see the definition in my hair (granted it's more frizzy, but still I'm a fan!)
Jane Carter Solution Nourish and Shine: a phenomena sealer for my super coarse hair!! I've been using this in conjunction with the Mane Choice gel lately, and these 2 are like PB and J for my hair!

Soap & Glory "The Scrub of Your Life": a perfect addition to a lazy person's routine!! I love this because it's a body exfoliator and body wash in one!! When I know I have some texture that has to be tamed but I don't feel like doing two separate steps, I'd grab this and be good to go! Plus, Soap and Glory smells amazing and is fairly affordable!
Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Triple Action Toner: I love this toner for when I'm suffering from any kind of acne! I usually break out on my forehead, nose and cheeks, and no lie, whenever I use this toner, my pimpled are gone within a couple days!! It can be drying on my skin since it has alcohol in it, but it really does work!
VitaminSea.beauty Sea Kale and Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner Mist: this is a perfect day time toner! Depending on what cleanser I use, my skin can feel a bit tight and stiff. So I like  the fact there's green tea in this toner since that claims to be very soothing and it so is!! The sea kale in it has astringent properties and does tone my skin nicely! Plus that fact that it's in a spray bottle makes it super convenient!
AOA Studio Pure Cotton Rounds: these totally dethroned the Shiseido Facial Cotton for me! I still love those , but these are just as durable as soft on my skin for so much less!! why spend $12 on the Shiseido ones when I can spend $4 on these and get the same amount and softness??

Well, that is all my favorites for October!  Let me know: what are some of your  favorites and non-favorites for  October? I'd love to know!! As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
