May/June Favorites

Hello, beauties! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! We have finally arrived with my monthly favorites! I'm obviously super late for May and a tiny bit early for June, so I decided to combine the two months together. Nonetheless, I have some wonderful recommendations for you all! So, if you're interested in learning all about my May/June favorites, then just keep reading!
MAKEUP
  • Collab Set the Stage Soft Focus Finishing Powder: Quite a few Youtubers I watch speak so highly of this powder (with the black top), but everytime I got in Sally's , the shades I need are always out of stock. But I happened to see one left of this powder , so I picked it up and boy , is it fantastic!! It smooths out my skin , controls my oil and leaves not a lick of white cast!
  • RK by Kiss HD Set n' Forget Loose Powder---"Rich": I've had this for a hot minute to actually set my concealer, but it's a bit too deep for that. But for all over my face??? It is everything!! It claims to have 16 hour wear, and I do think that can stand true!! I've worn my makeup for up to 13 hours and it looked liked I just freshly applied it though the elements and my entire work shift!!
  • Makeup Revolution Baking Powder---Banana Light: I discovered this more recently, but this is amazing also!! What really suckered me was the amount you get for the price you pay!! I love the powder so much, I ended up picking up two other colors to try out!
  • Mariposa Bronzer palette---Medium to Deep: with all the drama recently unfolding within the beauty community, I've been digging into my current collection more and more. I pulled  this out for this month's makeup basket and am so impressed! though marketed as bronzers, I actually use these as blushes and they're so gorgeous! definitely want to try more out from this brand!
  • Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer: I adore this primer!! The words hydro and grip had me intrigued, so I had picked up the mini size to try it out. Needless to say, I had to go back and snag the full size during the VIB sale!
  • Morphe Glamabronze bronzer----"Phenom": aside from loose setting powders, I love me some bronzer!! It gives me just the perfect amount of warmth without looking too red or orange on my skin!!
  • Colourpop So Juicy Plumping Lip Gloss: these are more on the mild side, but the formula is everything!! I love putting these on top of my lipliners or just wear them on their own!! But they're not super thick and goopy, like other glosses I've tried.
  • NYX Ombre Lip Duo---Cinnamon/Spice: this was another hidden gem I had  sitting in my collection. Surprisingly , this was more matte when applied to my lips, but that's alright because it wears for quite a while on my lips!! It's awesome to travel with since both the liner and lipstick are in the same packaging!
  • Believe Beauty Lustrous Shine Lip Gloss---Juneberry: When I saw the promo pics on Dollar General's website and IG, I knew I wanted this shade!! As far as the formula goes, it's more thin than I was expecting, but still a beautiful affordable gloss!!
SKINCARE
  • Shea Moisture Bath, Body and Massage Oil: I've been into body oils lately to moisturize since it's getting hotter, and have been refalling in love with my Shea Moisture ones! The "Superfruit Complex" is marketed to be contouring/firming/smoothing with a slight sweet fruit scent, while "Frankincense and Myrrh" is for anti-aging with a more woodsy earthy smell.
  • IT Cosmetics Confidence In a Cream: for a cream moisturizer , this is phenomenal!! Usually I'm super oily and greasy, but this absorbs into my skin so nicely!! I've been using my travel sized one for the last several weeks, so a little does go a long way!  I for sure want to pick me up another one!
  • Ariul Phyto Body Mist: think of this like a primer water for your body. I spray this on when I finish bathing or showering to have a little extra moisture before I go in with my lotion/body butter/ body oil, and I can tell the difference in my skin!
  • Brayken Creations Body Butter---"Coconut": this has been saving my skin from these raggedy dry patches I get, especially on my chest. It is a black owned female brand (the owner is a longtime friend of mine), and she did an amazing job creating this!! aside from softening my skin, I low key smell like a Almond Joy, which I'm not mad at all about!!
MISCELLANEOUS
Well, that is all my favorites for May/June!  Let me know: what are some of your  favorites and non-favorites for May and/or June? I'd love to know!! As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
