march favorites

Hello, beauties! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! March has once again come and gone! March is one of my favorite months (aside from being my birthday month) , because it's the beginning of warmer weather! I'm a tad late, but I've found some bomb products this past month that I'm excited to share, but unlike other months, I don't have a ton this time.  So, if you're interested in learning all about my March favorites, then just keep reading!

SKIN/BODY
  • Sephora Collection Coconut Water Hydrating Mist (couldn't fine the exact one, but this one is similar): I'm in love with this purely for the experience!! It's calming but refreshing to my skin, plus it helps prep my face for the remaining skincare I apply!
  • Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum: it's been so hard to get my hands on this serum because it's sold out every time I go to Ulta. But when I finally got it, I was so excited!! and it has totally lived up to my expectations! My pores do appear smaller, my skin is much smoother and my oil is pretty controlled throughout the whole day! I had heard Skinfood may be getting discontinued, which I hope isn't true =( I've enjoyed what I've tried so far and plan to try out more things!
  • Olay Daily Facial Cleansing Cloths (Deeply Purifying Clean): it has been years since I used these, but rediscovering them reminded me why I enjoy them so much!! These dry cloths possess cleaning properties of multiple skincare products, so they're perfect if you're someone constantly on the go, you're too lazy to do a whole routine for the skin or you don't have a lot of funds to support a full blown skincare routine!
  • Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Scent Spray: I'm still obsessed with the Shawn Mendes Signature and Comptoir Vanille Blackberry perfumes, but they got a new sibling to join the fam!! I love the fresh, calming smell of green tea and it's light enough to wear everyday!!
  • Nivea Nourishing Body Oil: this is such a moisturizing oil and perfect to layer on top of your lotion or body butter!! It does have a somewhat strong powder scent, so be mindful of that, but I'm here for this oil!
HAIR
  • Curls Blueberry and Mint Tea Scalp Treatment:  I'm not crazy for Curls products, this has been such a staple in my hair routine lately!! I usually put this oil on my scalp and massage it in about 1-2 times a day, and the growth has been phenomenal!! mainly in my bang and crown area since they grow the slowest. it does feel kinda weird when it's cold outside and your scalp feels like you put mouthwash on it, but i don't mind it at all!!
  • Jane Carter Quench Curl Hydrator: I'm a big fan of Jane Carter products, but I wasn't sure if I'd ever find a spray leave in that actually moisturized my hair. Until I found this one!! It makes my hair feel soft and hydrated, but not like dried out straw days later!!
  • Dark & Lovely Au Naturale Anti-Shrinkage Twice as Nice Curl Refresher: this is an OG product love of mine, but for good reason!! It has the bi-phase technology of both a leave in and oil, which helps when I'm refreshing my old style and styling my hair on wash day. Not only does it cut down the number of products I apply, but it also does great of adding moisture!
MAKEUP
  • Face Secrets Tapered Face Brush: one of the fullest, fluffy powder brushes ever!! I love this for setting my face with all over powder, or buffing my blush/bronzer out if I go a little too ham.
  • BH Cosmetics Royal Affair brush set: that same great quality of BH Cosmetics brushes still holds true! The real reason why I love these is because I got them on such a bomb sale price !!
  • Japonesque 724 brush: I am so in love with this brush for really blending out my crease colors! It's dense enough to deposit the shades where I want them, but has enough fluff to spread it on my eye!
  • Ruby Kisses Hydrating Lip Oil Treatment Gloss: the minty sensation of this clear gloss is so wonderful!! Plus to be under $5??? super score!!!
  • Ruby Kiss Jelly Lipgloss: if you want that wet, juicy , pouty look with your gloss, you NEED these!! now these are a thicker consistency, so if you don't like thick glosses, you won't like these at all. But I don't mind these at all!
MISCELLANEOUS
  • Aura Cacia Chill Pill Essential Oil Blend:  I discovered this at my last job in the med room lol, but when I smelled this, I was instantly relaxed!! I think this would be bomb to place in a diffuser or to spray in a room you're in to simply unwind!
  • Late July Jalapeno Lime Tortilla Chips: If you love Cool Ranch Doritos but you're trying to be a little healthier, you need these!!! I heard about these on Youtube, then accidentally stumbled upon them in CVS and have been hooked ever since!
  • Paige Koren: I LOVEEEEEEEE her channel!! She's so sweet and cute =)

Well, that is all my favorites for March!  Let me know: what are some of your March favorites and non-favorites? I'd love to know!! As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
