Best of Beauty 2018 (Face)

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Oh my goodness, I cannot believe that 2018 is essentially over. It high key doesn't feel real that this year flew by so fast!! But, we shall see what 2019 has in store!! So as you read, this is all about yearly favorites! There's been so many releases and so many bomb products I've tried out over this year. But since I have a ton of products, I will break this up into parts, so this one is strictly about the face products I've loved this year! So if you're interested, then just keep on reading!
  • MAC Prep & Prime Fix +: this was such a classic back in the day, but it took MAC now being carried at Ulta for me to finally pull the trigger and pick it up. But I absolutely loved this! It made my skin feel nourished and hydrated and my makeup seemed to last a long time!
  • Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Foundation---"450": this was in everyone's favorites LAST year lol, so I was also late trying this out also. But now I understand why so many people love it! It's super lightweight, but covers pretty much everything!! Plus the fact that I don't have to use a powder to set it down---#winning! I did struggle a little finding my shade, but I thi 450 is a  great match for my skin!
  • Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir---"Soft Sable":  I promise I'm not gonna say on this too long, but this was my everything this year!! It really does make my skin look healthy (hence the name) ! The shade range is not the best (I own the deepest shade), but if you can a find a color that works for you, you won't be disappointed!!
  • Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer----"Pot de Creme": one of the best concealer discoveries this year!! It's not super watery, but not too thick and drying!! The thing that stuck out to me the most was that it had very minimal creasing, whether I set it wit powder or not!! Most concealers , I have to set them. ut not this one!Plus the shade range is really nice & it's not crazy expensive for a higher end concealer.
  • LA Girl Pro Conceal---"Dark Cocoa, Toast, Espresso, Chestnut": I fell back in love with this baby!! The squeeze tube packaging made it so easy to apply ,  it blends out  like a dream and it doesn't break the bank!! Plus, literally everyone can find multiple shades to highlight, conceal, contour.....you name it!
  • Maybelline Fit Me! Loose Finishing Powder---"Dark": another item I was low key late on trying, but I'm so glad I did!! It's very smooth and sets my makeup in place, but doesn't look cakey or drying on my skin!! I don't usually get down with loose powders, but this one I stand for!!
  • NYX #NoFilter Finishing Powder---"Deep Golden": I promise I won't drone on about this too long, but this was virtually the one powder that never let me down this year!! I'm STILL shocked I havent hit pan on this because I use it all the time!! Just take my word and get it!
  • NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder---"Naturally Beige": I remember using the loose version of this powder and loving it , but it was SO MESSY!! So, I went through my collection and forgot I had purchased the pressed version and pulled it out. I haven't looked back since. It really does smooth out my skin without giving off a white cast!!
  • Becca Sunlit Bronzer---"Maui Nights": when I wanted more of an almost sunburnt look, this was my guy!! I kept wrestling with getting this over and over again, but a gracious friend of mine was so kind to send this my way and I'm so glad she did!!
  • ELF Bronzer---"Deep": another product that reminds me that you don't necessarily have to spend a ton of money for a great product. this little $2 gem is so pretty on my skin, without making me look orange !
  • Loreal Paradise Enchanted Scented Blush---"Charming": if I had to get rid of all my blushes and only keep one for the rest of my life, this would be my one!! It's such a delicious peach bronze that gives me a beautiful glow!! It is peach scented, but not too overwhelming. If you have a tan to deep skin tone, you NEED this!!
  • Beauty Benefits blushes: for only $1 each, these really packed a punch!! They apply so smooth and pigmented, but are still easy to buff out to make the color softer!
  • Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighters: these are literally liquid goodness in a powder form!! The two original shades (Molten Gold and Molten Rose Gold) are so metallic and blinding, while the newest two shades ( Molten Peach and Molten Topaz) are more natural and everyday appropriate. There's also an ULTA exclusive shade that would fit fair to light skin tones well.
  • Loreal Infallible Setting Spray: this is a more recent re-discovery, but it definitely helps my makeup not look cakey or dry! My makeup would still fade, but when I used this spray, it would tend to hang around a little longer!
  • Covergirl Look Lock Up Setting Spray: I've not been too into Covergirl, but this year, they did a total rebranding and came out the park swinging! I've tried a few of the new releases, but the one that stole my heart was this setting spray!! My makeup would always look as fresh as I had first applied it hours later!! Plus it helped to control my oils!!
Well, this wraps up part one of my best of beauty series!! hopefully, you guys found some great items to try out for yourselves!! stay tuned for part 2! Thanks for reading and lie always, Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

August Favorites 2018.

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
