November Favorites

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites time! 31 days......31 whole days left ,then goodbye 2018. It high key doesn't feel real that this year flew by so fast!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for November, then just keep on reading!

SKINCARE
  • Skinfood Lettuce & Cucumber Watery Emulsion: though I have combo skin, every fall/winter season, my skin gets a lot drier and flakier (gross, I know). So I shift my skincare to mainly focus on hydrating my skin. I stumbled upon this at Marshalls  a few months ago, and have been in love ever since!! I apply after my serums, but before my moisturizer or sleeping mask, and my texture has decreased so much since using this!
  • B&BW A Thousand Wishes Body Lotion: literally the holidays in a lotion form!! I just picture happy family memories, good food and pure innocent joy everytime I wear this!! If you enjoy warm and fruity scents, you will love this!!
  • Lancome Energie de Vie Overnight Sleeping Mask:  you guys know how I've been on a huge mask kick lately, particularly with sleeping masks! And this one is no exception! Usually , I'm all about affordable skincare, but this could be one of the few products I would potentially invest in! It made my skin feel soothed and plumper, plus, I LOVEEEE the smell!!
  • Coop +Daisy Night Glow Sleeping Serum: This serum has been saving my skin's texture!! As stated earlier, my skin is becoming a lot drier and more textured since winter is fast approaching, especially around my nose. When I first saw this in TJ Maxx, the packaging immediately reminded me of the TLC Night Serum from Drunk Elephant, but for like 75% cheaper! Since using this serum , my skin has been so much smoother overall!

MAKEUP
  • Kokie High Brow pencil---"Rich Brunette": I it's a bit drier in formula compared to the Wet N wild and LA Colors pencils I love so much, but the end result is fantastic! Like the other two pencils I mentioned, this makes my brows look thicker and fuller, ut not unnatural!
  • Ulta Beauty Marshmallow Highlighter: to me, this is like the Essence Pure Nude Highlighter , but in cream form!! it gives of a beautiful natural glow to the skin that I love & wish wasn't limited edition 😥it is also marshmallow scented, but not obnoxious.
  • L'oreall Infallible Pro Matte Powder--"800 Cocoa": I've had this powder in my collection for over a year and hadn't used it much, but now that I'm doing these monthly makeup baskets, I've started testing both older and newer products. When I say this powder sucks up ALL of my excess oil without my skin looking crepey, ohh it's amazing!!
  • L'oreall Infallible Pro Glow Concealer---"Cocoa": I was hesitant to try this since people complained about irritating their eyes a lot, but I decided to finally give it a go. Surprisingly, this one of the longest lasting concealers in my stash! It doesn't crease a ton, but provides just the right amount of hydration to my under eye area!
  • Farmacy Lip Bloom: I love trying out new lip balms and treatments, especially now since it's getting cold. I found this randomly at TJ MAXX and was so impressed with it! It nourished and filled in all the dry lines on my lips!
  • BH Cosmetics Weekend Festival Palette: aside from Profusion and LA Colors, BH Cosmetics is another affordable brand that has been killing it! I picked this palette up when Kohl's  had a 30% off sale on their makeup, and I was intrigued by the fun color scheme. Plus, I hadn't tried out a BH palette in quite a while.....but wow, was I blown away!! The mattes were a little drier but blend out beautifully, and the shimmers are very smooth!! I think this palette is perfect for people that do want to dabble in color , but not go overboard.
  • Huda Beauty Warm Brown Obsessions palette: the perfect little warm-toned palette! I remember when I was shopping the VIB sale last year and had NO interest in this, but once I swatched it, I had to have it (of course, it was sold out 😥). But I won an Instagram giveaway a few months back, and my good friend was sweet enough to send me whatever prize I chose---which ended up being the Becca "Maui Nights" bronzer and this palette. And I'm in love with how the shades blend out and the pigmentation! Plus the small size makes a perfect travel palette!
  • Collab Palette Pro eyeshadow palette---"Get Ready With Me": I'm not too into the Collab brand overall, but one thing that has blown me away was their eyeshadows! This one is more just your basic neutral shades, but it's so good!! Collab , to me is more like a midrange affordable brand, but I will always recommend and stand for these palettes!
  • Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir foundation---"Soft Sable": anyone remembers when the CG Ready, Set Gorgeous was my holy grail foundation??? Meet its' replacement! I won't really even go into why I love this foundation so much because I've talked about it so much, but just know I absolutely love it!!

HAIRCARE

  • Alikay Naturals Shea Yogurt Hair Moisturizer: this jar of buttery goodness defines and hydrates my hair so wonderfully!! Plus, it smells just like the leave in conditioner!
  • The Mane Choice Ancient Egyptian 24K Gold Twisting Gel: this gel is also amazing for defining my curls!! Like their Crystal Orchid gel, it isn't heavy or crunchy on my hair , so I can go a little more heavy handed ( though I don't since the Mane Choice is more pricey). But It's not as watery as the Crystal Orchid gel, which I like. It has more of a light custard texture, so it's heavy enough for my style to last, but light enough to where I can add more if needed!
  • The Mane Choice Hair Type 4 Leaf Clover Stubborn Edges Freezing Gel + Lusti Shea Butter Edge Gel: separately, these work just okay, but together?????? MAGIC!! I've officially found my favorite edge control duo!! The Mane Choice is great in terms of holding my stubborn coily edges in place while helping them  regrow, whilst the Lusti gel is great to really smooth them down since it's more waxy!
  • Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter :  this has been my 2nd or 3rd winter with this moisturizer in my hair routine, and for good reason!! I find that as it gets colder, this manages to help retain moisture in my curls (combined with the right products , of course). But this is just the bomb!
  • Beshe Lady Lace wig----"LXLP.180": meet my newest fall hair!! I love wearing this unit because the texture is super similar to my natural hair once it's straightened professionally.  It's not too long or too short, it's literally perfection. This is a lace front unit, so I make sure that my edges are laid and slayed before I pop this baby on.
Well, that is all my favorites for November!  Let me know: what are some of your November favorites and non-favorites? I'd love to know!! As always , thanks for reading and Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
