January Favorites 2018

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my January favorites! We're already one month into 2018 and I want to have a new mentality when it comes to beauty related things. I definitely want to shop my stash way more often instead of constantly buying things and not using them. Surprisingly, I don't have too many favorites to go through, so I shouldn't be too long. So if you want to know my favorites for the month of January, then just keep reading!

MAKEUP
Wet n Wild Coloricon Brow Pencil --"Brunettes Do it Better": this little pencil is awesome at outlining the brows or to fill them in quickly if I'm in a time crunch!

Ulta x Melisa Michelle Palette: why, oh why did this have to be limited edition?? It's a lovely neutral palette that I feel is flattering for multiple , if not all, skin tones! Melisa did an amazing job coming up with the color scheme. The shadows have very minimal fall out, the highlighter has a gorgeous buildable glow and the blush gives just the right amount of flush!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer: I love this concealer!! It gives flawless coverage , but isn't too thick to blend out with a brush or beauty blender!

NYX Honey Dew Me Up Skin Serum & Primer: this has been helping my skin appear firmer  and feel a bit more hydrated under my moisturizer or makeup!

NYX Full Coverage Concealer : Juicyjas talks about this concealer all the time as a staple of her brow routine, so I pulled mine back out and have been using it ever since! this is thin enough to blend out easily, but thick enough to sharpen  them up! My brows aren't actually too bad on their own, but sometimes I want to look just a little bit cleaner & this helps!

NYX Eyebrow Gel: this is like ABH Dipbrow in a tube! the tiniest dot fills in BOTH brows so nicely! and since it's marketed as a gel, it holds my hair in place and I don't have to use a separate brow gel to set my brows!

ELF Dual Ended Eyebrow Brush: since I was just talking about the NYX gel, this is the tool I've been using to apply it! The spoolie to brush your hairs in place is super soft and tiny , and the angled brush is the perfect size and thickness for filling your brows in with a gel/pomade/powder or cleaning them up with your concealer.

ELF Lip Exfoliator---"Mint Maniac": though this winter has been up and down, this has been saving my lips!! They're  super smooth and hydrated everytime I apply this, especially when I wear a lot of matte lippies.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick---"HD Desert": a glossy pink nude  lipstick that is perfect for everyday wear!

Ulta Mineral Lip Gloss ---"Blush Crystal" (couldn't find the exact one , but this color is pretty similar): super similar to HD Desert from Revlon, except it's a little deeper in color!  why did Ulta ever discontinue these??? it wasn't sticky or chunky on the lips whatsoever!

SKINCARE
Nip & Fab Post Glycolic Fix Moisturizer": since I've been using some skincare to correct my dark spots, I've been looking for a good sunscreen. this leaves my skin hydrated, smooth to the touch and not super greasy!! It can irritate my eyes if I use too much or rub my eye on accident, but for me, the good outweighs the bad.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Fight & Fade Toner: I've been doing well about toning my skin, but was on the hunt for one that would do its job without leaving my face feel like the Sahara Desert. This is seriously my perfect toner!!

Zest Aqua Body Wash with Vitamin E: this is the best everyday body wash! It's not overly crazy smelling, but it does a great job at cleaning my body!

HAIRCARE
Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Leave In Conditioner: can you say "instant holy grail?" It smells like lemon shake ups and coats my curls without making them feel stiff and hard!! Most spray leave in conditioners are either too light or too drying. But, this here??? perfection.

MISCELLANEOUS
What You Won't Do for Love ---Go West: I do adore the original by Bobby Caldwell, but they did an amazing job at covering it!! I just can't stop listening .

Never Gonna Let You Go---Tamia: yet another great underrated old school jam!!

Hopefully you've found some good products within this list to try out for yourselves! Let me know some of your  favorites or not so favorites from January!! Thanks for reading, and like always, Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

August Favorites 2018.

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
