Winter Empties

Hi, beauties!! Happy spring, though this weather has been playing games hardcore lol.

So, I'm back with my empties for the winter . I've used up quite a bit and I'm ready to let all this trash go. So, I decided to try out another format for this: I will break everything up into three groups--- the Yays, Partways and Nays. So grab a small snack or drink and get ready for this!!

The YAYS (things I loved and will definitely recommend)

  • Milani Easybrow pencil in Dark Brown---absolutely love this pencil!  It's creamy, pigmented and lasts all day!!
  • Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque --I love this, but not for it's intended purpose (deep conditioner). This is a bomb.com styler for my twistouts!! My hair came out perfect just about every time!!
  • Aunt Jackie's Knot on My Watch instant detangling therapy: I had to be a bit heavy handed with this, but it did definitely melt my tangles!! Plus, it's fairly cheap! So if you're a beginner in the natural hair game, this brand will be a good place to start!
  • B&BW Hello Sunshine Cooling Gel lotion: this definitely did cool my skin down as well as moisturize!! Plus, the smell is amazing!!
  • Simple Radiance cleansing wipes: super refreshing on my face!! Did a pretty good job of removing my makeup as well.
  • Mario Badescu Facial Spray w/ Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater: this was hyped up for quite some time and I now get why.......it is the BEES KNEES!! My face was instantly revived and hydrated whenever I used this stuff ! (Even though I have combo skin)
  • B&BW Hawaii Passionfruit Kiss shower gel: lived up to the standard good quality of B&BW items!! Very beachy yet fruity!
  • Assured antibacterial wet wipes: just as good as the name brand ones!!
  • Oyin Handmade Greg juice: the perfect spray for soothing my scalp when it flared up from being dirty!! Nice subtle earthy smell.
  • Oyin Handmade Boing!: awesome at defining my curls!
  • Wet N Wild Megaclear mascara: great for setting my brows or just adjusting the unruly hairs!!
  • Wet N Wild Max Volume Plus mascara: did provide my lashes with a nice bit of volume!
  • NYX The Skinny mascara: perfect for catching your bottom lashes or adding a little extra length!!
  • Essence Lash Mania mascara: did have some nice similarity to falsies without the extra work!
  • Hard Candy Fast n Fabulous setting spray: lightweight but keeps my makeup locked in place. Plus, I love the cucumber smell!!

The Partways (things that worked okay, but not necessarily a super must have but not a total disregard)

  • L'oreal Youth Code Serum Intense: it did moisturize my skin, but I found that it didn't work as well for me as the Texture Perfector.
  • Curls Creamy Curl Cleanser:  the smell was nice and it cleaned my hair ok, but I honestly thought the product was too thick . I had to really work to get the product to come out, and I'm not a fan of fighting with my product.
  • Elf Total Face Brush: this is a nice brush, but the particular one I rebought was very prickly and abrasive.
  • Dirty Works 8 in 1 Miracle Cream: this company is fairly similar to Soap and Glory , but this was just OK for me. I saw maybe 2 of the 8 benefits it claimed to do on my skin. However. I will say it didn't make me extra oily .
  • Dove Advanced Care deodorant: Influenster was actually kind enough to send this for me to review and though the product itself was nice, I felt like I could find deodorants that worked just as good for a lower price.
  • As I Am Twist Defining Cream: this was actually a sample size , but the product itself did do a great job on defining this bush atop my head. But like with the Dove deodorant, I felt that I could find things that worked just as well for cheaper.
And finally, The NAYS (things I just did not like at all)

  • Jeune Paris Eyebrow pencil in Nude Brown: this was so dry, I had to literally push to get any kind of decent pigmentation.
  • Oyin Handmade Honey Wash: this claimed to be a body wash as well as a shampoo. Anyone that knows me knows I love a good multi purpose product. However, this here was just a total dud. There was no lather , no matter how much product I used.
  • Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer in medium/deep : I actually liked this at first, but then it just started creasing too much on me.
  • Physicians Formula Sexy Eyes liner trio---liquid liner: this was just shitty. That is all I will say.
  • Elf Bronzing brush: the bristles were just too prickly for me. Good thing this was just a dollar.
  • Modelco VolumEyes mascara: I actually did like this mascara a lot, but it just costs way too much. I can find a drugstore mascara that works just as good if not better.

Well, that should wrap it up for this round of empties. Whew, thank goodness lol. Thanks so so much for reading and like always, Stay Beautiful!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
