Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap.
Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size)
Specs: This soap claims to be acne-fighting, detoxifying and healing. Also, it was designed for people with combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap, on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E.
- Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections
- Oats--brightens and evens skin tone
- Vitamin E--maintains healthy skin, protection from harmful UV rays
- Shea Butter---treats dry skin, lightens dark spots and discolorations, hydrating
- Aloe--balances skin pH, softens skin
Ingredients: 100% Vegetable Soap: African Black Soap Base, Coconut Oil* and/or Palm Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Meal, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Plantain Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Vegetable Glycerin, Mineral Pigment or Vegetable Color, Natural Fragrance and/or Essential Oil
Pros
- nice amount of lather!
- VERY moisturizing on my skin!!
- Healing for my skin---especially since it's wintertime!
- clears up my acne fairly quick!
Cons
- NONE WHATSOEVER!!!
Would I repurchase?: Absolutely! It's one of the best soaps I've used on my face [along with the Shea Butter soap and Dove]. I actually purchased the Shea Moisture version of the soap and will repurchase the NH version to see which one I like better for my skin, so stay tuned for that review. overall, I recommend this product!!
Thanks for reading and remember as always: Stay Beautiful!!
