I got Nubian Heritage Goodies!!

Hello, all you beautiful folks out there! I just HAD to hop on here to show you guys the stuff that I received in the mail!! So in case you don't follow my other blog, I'm a guest blogger for Global Couture and what I do is contact different natural hair companies--both mainstream and smaller businesses--to feature them both on the GC blog and my personal blog (read more about it here). Well, one of the companies I contacted was Nubian Heritage, which some consider to be a sister company of Shea Moisture. Long story short, the person in charge of their PR, Jeanine,  had explained to me that their company was not a natural hair marketed company, so they didn't feel that they would be a good fit to interview.

Oh, but how God and the universe works in mysterious ways :)  though they declined my original request, Jeanine was nice enough to offer to send me some of the company's bath and body samples to review on my personal blog!! I was ecstatic and honored, so of course I said yes, I'd love to! I was merely expecting maybe a couple mini bottles of  a lotion and a body wash maybe. Oh no, the universe thought a little differently. I ended receiving TWO full size bottles of body wash, TWO hand creams and THREE soaps to try out and review!!

I received the Goat's Milk & Chai, as well as the Indian Hemp and Haitian Vetiver body washes:

the Lavender & Wildflowers and the Goat's Milk & Chai hand creams:

and finally, the African Black Soap, Honey & Black Seed Soap and the Shea Butter Soap!

I can't wait to try everything out and review it for you guys!!
*note: it may be a little while, but it will get done!

Thank you guys for reading!! and remember, Stay Beautiful!!

Review: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

Hello, all! Happy new year to everyone!! I came on to give my review on the second out of the three soaps I received from Nubian Heritage---the African Black Soap. Price: $4.99 on NH website and at the Vitamin Shoppe (5 oz size) Specs: This soap claims to be  acne-fighting,  detoxifying and healing.  Also, it was designed for people with   combination, oily, sensitive, and problem skin  , however it has been said that people with ALL skin types can use this as well :) but, back to the specs. Like I mentioned on my review on the Shea Butter soap , on the container is a brief history about how Nubian Heritage got its start and the ayurvedic properties about the key ingredients--which for this product line is shea butter, oats, aloe, palm ash, plaintain peel, tamarind extract and vitamin E. Palm Ash, Tamarind & Plantain Peel--soothing properties ; minimizes the appearance of superficial skin imperfections Oats--brightens and evens skin tone ...

November Favorites

Hello, my loves! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! I can't believe that I'm here with my November beauty favorites!! Like the year is legit almost  done. 31 days left before 2018 makes its grand entry. I do have quite a bit this month, so if you're interested in learning all about my  favorites for November,  then just keep reading! SKIN/BODYCARE Eco Tools Konjac Cleansing Sponge : so great for helping spread my cleanser more evenly on my face versus using my hands or a rag! I've also noticed that it has helped my skin be a lot smoother, too! Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Body Lotion : such a thick, hydrating lotion !! Only thing though is I would change the packaging--maybe opt for a jar instead of a bottle because it's thicker that a traditional lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Nip & Fab Kale Fix Protecting Shot : my skin has been more balanced lately since incorporating this oil!! Since it's colder, my skin tends t...

Hola, beautiful ones!! Welcome back & if you're new here, welcome! Once again, we've reached the end on yet another month, which means monthly favorites! Guys, we're officially 2/3 through 2018!! Crazy that just in 4 short months, it will be 2019!! Slow down, time!! Nonetheless, I have some really good stuff that I've been loving, so if you guys wanna know about my favorites for August, then just keep on  reading! Makeup Colourpop Element of Surprise palette : this is probably one of the most unique palettes I own! When I first saw it, I had no interest in picking it up, but when I saw it in Ulta & swatched the shade Rayon, (metallic dark coral with blue-green duochrome) I fell in love!! I never thought I'd love this palette, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St. Palette :  another great option for a few pops of color + neutral shades! Unlike the Element of Surprise, this one is more a warm toned color scheme .  Also, I...
